May those who control the faults of the land, follow the samaya, and guard the commands of Vajravarahi, fulfill the entrusted commitment to protect secret mantra yogis, protect the mandala's boundaries, and assist in accomplishment. Please accept this offering of essence and the lord of men's leftovers, cut off the enemies of the teachings, swiftly liberate the foes, be a Dharma-abiding friend, and accomplish the entrusted activities. Dispose of the leftovers and foot-washing water in a clean place outside. Then, proclaim the transgressions as follows: Hūṃ! In the past, Samantabhadra, Amitabha, and Padmasambhava, through the lineage of mind transmission, oral transmission, and yellow scrolls, in this snowy land, through the profound teachings of secret mantra, placed beings on the path of maturation and liberation. Just as all beings are liberated in the expanse of Samantabhadra, in this degenerate age, remember the commitment in this way, and accomplish the activity of uprooting samsara from its depths. Thereafter, in the first of the intermediate kalpas, in the eight great charnel grounds such as Śītavana, the great vidyādhara Padmasambhava, having manifested as the form of the Great Supreme Wrathful One, subdued the mothers, dakinis, and flesh-eaters, and bound all the eight classes of gods and demons by oath. Having promised to protect the Buddha's teachings, and having vowed to protect samaya-holders and yogis, please accept this torma and accomplish whatever activity is entrusted. Thereafter, in the place of Yangleshö in Nepal, having opened the mandala of Vajrakīla, all the outer, inner, and secret eight classes of gods and demons, and all the Tibetan gods and spirits were bound by oath. Having promised to protect the Buddha's teachings, and having vowed to protect samaya-holders and yogis, please accept this torma and accomplish whatever activity is entrusted. Thereafter, in the Samye Dharma Wheel Temple, having opened the mandala of Subduing Mara's Power and Wrath, all the outer, inner, and secret eight classes of gods and demons, promised and vowed, offering their respective life-essences. Protect the secret mantra teachings, eliminate obstacles for yogis, accomplish whatever activity is entrusted by the practitioners, and as vowed to avert obstacles for the patrons, please accept this torma and liberate the enemies of the teachings and those who break their vows. Now, in this time of the five degenerations, in this time of suffering due to the negative karma of sentient beings in the degenerate age, the lotus messenger awakened by aspiration, the mantra-holding Dharma King Dorje, when opening the mandala of the Wrathful One, the Tibetan gods and spirits promised and vowed to protect the profound treasure store and the secret mantra teachings, to cut off oath-breakers and evil spirits, and to pacify epidemics and wars.
