The mind of enlightenment should not be abandoned; it is the samaya of the Vajra family. As the samaya of the Ratna family, giving should always be practiced; it is the samaya of the Ratna family. As the samaya of the Padma family, the three vehicles and all dharmas should be taught; it is the samaya of the Padma family. As the samaya of the Karma family, one should strive to benefit sentient beings; it is the samaya of the Karma family. Respectfully offer to superiors and lovingly care for inferiors, protect the root and branch samayas. Do not transgress the four root vows. This should be said three times. Thereafter, in order to purify downfalls, sins, and obscurations through the uncommon door of mantra yoga, especially the meditation and recitation of Vajrasattva, which is highly praised, please visualize as follows: On the crown of each person's head, visualize a "པཾ" (Tibetan, vaṃ, Devanagari, vam, Roman transliteration, water) transforming into a lotus, a "རཾ" (Tibetan, raṃ, Devanagari, ram, Roman transliteration, fire) transforming into a sun disc, and an "ཨ" (Tibetan, a, Devanagari, a, Roman transliteration, none) transforming into a moon disc. On top of that, visualize a white "ཧཱུྃ" (Tibetan, hūṃ, Devanagari, hūṃ, Roman transliteration, Hum) syllable. From that, light radiates, offering to the noble ones and accomplishing the benefit of sentient beings. Gathering back, it completely transforms into glorious Vajrasattva, whose body is white like the sun rising on a snowy mountain, whose eyes gaze into space, adorned with silk garments and precious jewels. His right hand holds a golden vajra at his heart, and his left hand holds a silver bell resting on his hip. In his heart, on top of a moon disc, there is a white "ཧཱུྃ" (Tibetan, hūṃ, Devanagari, hūṃ, Roman transliteration, Hum) syllable, like a drop of mercury, surrounded by the hundred-syllable mantra. Reciting it as if reading, rays of light radiate from it like the rising sun, offering to all Sugatas and purifying the sins and obscurations of beings in the six realms. Again, it dissolves into the "ཧཱུྃ" (Tibetan, hūṃ, Devanagari, hūṃ, Roman transliteration, Hum) syllable in his heart, and a stream of nectar descends. Please have the intention that all the two obscurations and habitual tendencies of your three doors are purified in the form of smoke and soot. Then, begin reciting the hundred-syllable mantra seven times, etc. Those who have entered the mandala of the powerful secret mantra must protect the vows they have taken as they would protect their lives. Therefore, proclaim the essential points of the vows and understand the giving of the Vajra oath water. Place the vajra on your head and give the nectar. "ཨོཾ་ཨཱཿཧཱུྃ" (Tibetan, oṃ āḥ hūṃ, Devanagari, oṃ āḥ hūṃ, Roman transliteration, Om Ah Hum). Outer, inner, and secret, only these, the vows of body, speech, and mind, protect with the equality of the three doors. This is your vow water; if protected, it will ripen into the true fruit; if broken, you will fall into the realm of hell.

The vows of this teaching do not contradict the Vinaya of the Shravakas and the precepts of the Bodhisattvas, nor do they contradict the vows of the inner secret mantras, as stated in the hundred thousand sections of Samaya. They do not contradict the secret vows of body, speech, and mind, especially the four bonds of the clear light Great Perfection. Please act in accordance with these! The witnesses to the vows are the deities of the Yidam mandala, the deity is Vajrasattva, the twenty-eight Yoginis, and the assembly of Dharma protectors. The vows of secret mantra are very important, with great consequences, so protect them truly even at the cost of your life! Then, the granting of the armor of protection: In general, human life is precious, especially practicing the sacred Dharma, and particularly entering the path of the secret mantra Vajrayana, which is extremely valuable. Therefore, there are many entrances for obstacles. To protect against these, this protection cord blessed with the essence of the Yidam, possessing a Vajra knot, is tied to the left arm of men and the right arm of women. With the armor of the blessings of the supreme deities, protect it without separation. Please think in this way! After the root mantra, recite the phrase "Raksha Raksha (藏文，梵文天城体：रक्षा रक्षा，梵文罗马拟音：rakṣa rakṣa，汉语字面意思：Protect, protect)", and seal the protection cord with a Vajra cross. Then, to truly observe the signs of accomplishment, to symbolize that you do not have the fortune to directly see the Tsok mandala in front of you, please put on blindfolds. Having said that, the blindfolds are put on. Then, please hold this twig with flowers together with your palms, and make a gesture of pulling the roots of the teeth with the twig, and then repeat this prayer and throw it onto the mandala in front of you! Alas! Guru Rigdzin, peaceful and wrathful Buddhas, heroes and dakinis, Dharma protectors, by the power of your truth, please quickly show me all the karmic connections of the past, good and bad omens!
