When practicing with the meaning of non-existence, headaches and dizziness may occur. To eliminate these obstacles, the guru at the crown of the head should be raised high, and one should contemplate the consciousness leaving from the widened aperture of Brahma. This will eliminate obstacles, and if practice is diligent and life is threatened, attention should be directed downwards, and longevity prayers should be performed. Then, the time to apply the practice is when the signs of death appear irreversibly. If it is not the right time, it will be counterproductive, so do not do it. Even if signs appear, if one does not practice a little, one will not be able to perform transference when needed, so practice continuously. If it is too excessive, it will harm life, so be moderate. When performing the actual transference, if one has mastery over vase breathing, there will be no difficulty, but if one is not diligent enough and cannot transfer in one attempt, one can repeat the transference several times. After transferring, do not descend, but visualize Guru Amitabha, first only a yojana in size, and then surpassing all the heavens above, going to Akanishta or Sukhavati. When transferring for others, visualize yourself as the deity, and especially as in previous practice, visualize the deceased's body as an empty shell, the central channel as the support of consciousness, and the guru at the crown of the head. Then, make prayers, reciting "ཀ་ཧིཀ྄་ཕཊ་ (Tibetan, Devanagari: क हिक् फट्, Romanized Sanskrit: ka hik phat, Literal Chinese meaning: Ka Hik Phat)". When reciting "ཀ་ (Tibetan, Devanagari: क, Romanized Sanskrit: ka, Literal Chinese meaning: Ka)", focus the mind on the consciousness in the heart of the deceased. When reciting "ཧིཀ྄་ (Tibetan, Devanagari: हिक्, Romanized Sanskrit: hik, Literal Chinese meaning: Hik)", merge it into the heart of Amitabha through the central channel. When reciting "ཕཊ་ (Tibetan, Devanagari: फट्, Romanized Sanskrit: phat, Literal Chinese meaning: Phat)", transfer it to Sukhavati. In this way, pulling the hair, continue to pray and repeat the visualization without lowering the vajra until signs appear. Finally, dedicate the merit and make aspirations. For those who have been dead for many days, it is said that one can summon the consciousness back to the corpse and then perform transference, but since the consciousness has already left the body, performing transference is meaningless, so one should strive for other methods of purifying the lower realms. Even if one cannot actually perform transference at the time of one's own death, contemplating these points is very beneficial. Regarding the powerful material transference, it is said that this is the ability to use wind and mind in special circumstances. Therefore, treasure texts say that mixing the ashes of a Han Chinese pregnant woman, wild bees, magnets, Han salt, and tongue-shaped flowers and applying it to the crown of the head. Other instructions say that below the deity's mantra, reciting "ཛྙཱ་ན་ཌཱ་ཀི་ནཱི་བཾ་པྲ་བེ་ཤ་ཡ་ཕཊ་ (Tibetan, Devanagari: ज्ञान डाकिनी बं प्रवेशय फट्, Romanized Sanskrit: jnana dakini bam praveshaya phat, Literal Chinese meaning: Wisdom Dakini Bam Enter Phat)" and blessing the substance with this mantra is said to make the effect faster. In terms of duration, for those with superior faculties, it takes one day.

The medium is three times, and the lowest is seven times, which will surely be accomplished. If that is still not accomplished, then confess the karmic obscurations that are not contrary to the root guru and vows, make great confession and vows, and persevere in practice, then the purpose will be accomplished. Fourth, there are three ways to explain liberation: the superior faculty, the medium faculty, and the inferior faculty. First, the superior faculty is liberated in this life, and that is also in accordance with the seven distinctions of the superior faculty, from the three moments of introduction to the moment of death, the subtle and coarse afflictions, and the grossness of the elemental body are purified, and with any of the four ways of dying, one will become enlightened in the primordial realm. Second, the seven distinctions of the medium faculty will become enlightened in the bardo. There are three aspects to this: essence, division, and taking the path. First, the essence of the bardo is that everything that appears other than the ground of primordial purity is the state of the bardo. The appearance of the ground as wisdom is the pure bardo of reality, and the impure bardo of delusion is the totality of phenomena included in the six realms of delusion. That is, the mind with its seeds that arises from the ground of primordial purity and has not yet been perfected in the ground of manifestation is the bardo. Second, the division is, as it is said in the Transcendence of Thought, "There are four divisions." That is: The bardo of birth and death or nature, the bardo of dying, the bardo of reality, and the bardo of existence. First, the bardo of birth and death or nature is from the moment of conception in the mother's womb until one is struck by the disease of death. Second, the bardo of dying is from the moment of approaching death until the inner breath ceases. Third, the bardo of reality is from the moment the inner breath ceases and the appearance of clear light arises until the appearance of spontaneous accomplishment dissolves. Fourth, the bardo of existence is from the moment the appearance of spontaneous accomplishment dissolves until the next existence has not yet been established. Third, the individual ways of taking the path are shown by two examples and meanings. The example is like cutting off attachments in the bardo of the place of birth, like entering a patterned tent. The meaning is to rely on the noble lama and diligently listen, contemplate, and meditate on the meaning of the instructions he has shown, thereby cutting off attachments. The clarification of the bardo of dying is like a beautiful woman looking in a mirror, meaning that the previously familiar instructions become clear in the mind through one's own or another's circumstances.
