Having set aside the completed portion as an offering for the fire puja, then, at the beginning of engaging in the actual fire puja, the palms are filled with vowels and consonants, the right and left hands are marked with the sun and moon respectively, and adorned with lotus garlands. The vajra represents the nature of the father of method, and the bell represents the nature of the mother of wisdom, both of which are the nature of ultimate bodhicitta. From the heart of the self-existing yidam deity, rays of light radiate, from the land of the fire god in the southeast. The wisdom being is just like the samaya being.
