Licking with the tip and rubbing the teeth with the root, may all the sins and obscurations accumulated throughout lifetimes be purified, and may the signs of how one attains accomplishment be clearly shown. Facing east or north, recite this and cast it away without hesitation. Ho! As instructed by the lama, discard the tooth stick. In order to attain the supreme body, speech, and mind of the lama, the vidyadhara, the supreme wisdom and accomplishment. May it fall into the burning volcano in the central direction! oṃ vajra hāsa hā (藏文：ཨོཾ་བཛྲ་ཧཱ་ས་ཧཱ།，梵文天城体：，梵文罗马拟音：oṃ vajra hāsa hā，汉语字面意思：Om, Vajra, Laugh, Laugh, Hum). The signs of discarding it in this way are: As it is said, if it falls in the four directions and the center, then one will attain the accomplishment of whichever of the five families it falls in. If it falls in the corners, then a small part is on top, traveling in the sky. Below, the tip is pointing up, traveling on the earth. If the root is pointing towards oneself, then throw it back three times. If it leans to the right, then release life. If it leans to the left, then give alms. If it accumulates horizontally, then light a hundred butter lamps. All evil deeds will have obstacles in practice. Accumulate purification and do great good. As it is said, be sure to remember this! Giving a handful of water: Visualize the water from the conch shell as an ocean of nectar, and bless it with the three syllables. By drinking this, may the inside of the body be filled with the nectar of wisdom, and may the thoughts and habitual patterns be washed away. oṃ hrīḥ viśuddha sarva dharma pāpaṃ viśuddha nīcāsya viśodhaya sarva vikalpāna apānaya hūṃ (藏文：ཨོཾ་ཧྲཱིཿབི་ཤུདྡྷ་སརྦ་དྷརྨ་པཱ་པཾ་བི་ཤུདྡྷ་ནཱི་ཙཱསྱ་བི་ཤོ་དྷ་ཡ་སརྦ་བི་ཀལྤཱ་ན་ཨ་པཱ་ན་ཡ་ཧཱུྃ།，梵文天城体：，梵文罗马拟音：oṃ hrīḥ viśuddha sarva dharma pāpaṃ viśuddha nīcāsya viśodhaya sarva vikalpāna apānaya hūṃ，汉语字面意思：Om, Hrih, Completely Pure, All, Dharma, Sin, Completely Pure, Base, Purify, All, Discriminations, Remove, Hum). Give three times with the right hand, and throw the remaining water from the left shoulder towards the back, visualizing that the impurities of the three doors are purified. Tying the protection cord: Tie three vajra knots on the red protection cord, and visualize that the thread born from Hūṃ (藏文：ཧཱུྃ，梵文天城体：，梵文罗马拟音：hūṃ，汉语字面意思：Hum) has the power to protect the disciple's three doors from obstacles. Cleanse with action water, and bless with the root mantra. oṃ sarva buddha maitri rakṣa rakṣa sarva svāhā (藏文：ཨོཾ་སརྦ་བུདྡྷ་མཻ་ཏྲི་རཀྵ་རཀྵ་སརྦ་སྭཱ་ཧཱ།，梵文天城体：，梵文罗马拟音：oṃ sarva buddha maitri rakṣa rakṣa sarva svāhā，汉语字面意思：Om, All, Buddha, Loving-kindness, Protect, Protect, All, Svaha). Tie it as usual with this mantra, and recite this prayer for protection. Ho! Protected by the five-stranded protection cord given by the lama, may the self be transformed into the body of the wrathful king, and may all eighty thousand types of obstacles be subdued and destroyed like dust! Again, touch the knot with the vajra and perfumed water in a cross shape, and recite: oṃ vajra rakṣa rakṣa svāhā (藏文：ཨོཾ་བཛྲ་རཀྵ་རཀྵ་སྭཱ་ཧཱ།，梵文天城体：，梵文罗马拟音：oṃ vajra rakṣa rakṣa svāhā，汉语字面意思：Om, Vajra, Protect, Protect, Svaha). By reciting this mantra, the body is covered with molten vajra armor.
