Say, "Lim (藏文:ལིཾ,梵文天城体:लिं,梵文罗马拟音:liṃ,汉语字面意思:Lotus), Ta (藏文:ཏ,梵文天城体:त,梵文罗马拟音:ta,汉语字面意思:That), Abhishintsa (藏文:ཨ་བྷི་ཥིཉྩ,梵文天城体:अभिषिञ्च,梵文罗马拟音:abhiṣiñca,汉语字面意思:Consecrate), Hum (藏文:ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体:हूँ,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:Hum), Hum (藏文:ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体:हूँ,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:Hum), Hum (藏文:ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体:हूँ,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:Hum)." The fourth empowerment is that everyone recites "Hum (藏文:ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体:हूँ,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:Hum), Hum (藏文:ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体:हूँ,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:Hum), Hum (藏文:ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体:हूँ,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:Hum)" with melody until the blessing descends. Then, loudly say "Phat (藏文:ཕཊ,梵文天城体:फट,梵文罗马拟音:phaṭ,汉语字面意思:Phat)!" and introduce it from the state of relaxing the body and mind: O fortunate ones, do not cut off the past mind, do not welcome the future mind. Now, at this time when the activities of thoughts are naturally let go, the outer appearance is clear and bright, the inner awareness is naked without thinking, and the body and mind in between are extremely comfortable, look at your own face. Unrealistically empty, traceless, rootless. Knowing that this vast awareness that transcends expansion and contraction is your own face is called obtaining the precious word empowerment. The Secret Sound Tantra says: Self-born awareness is the meaning empowerment, Clear and bright, open and free, Like the clear autumn sky, The sole Dharmakaya is the meaning empowerment. This is your own nature. Because you are originally a Buddha, do not seek anything other than knowing your own face. The Illusion Tantra says: No matter where or when, The perfect Buddha cannot be found. Because mind itself is the perfect Buddha, Do not seek the Buddha from elsewhere. Even if you seek, you will not find the Victorious One. Therefore, in this state, all phenomena of samsara and nirvana are like illusions. When they appear as the three states of arising, dwelling, and ceasing, there is actually no arising, dwelling, or ceasing. This is the empowerment of the power of awareness. The Illusion Tantra says: Ema, how wonderful is the Dharma, This is the secret of all perfect Buddhas. Everything arises from the unborn, In the very arising, there is no arising. Ema, how wonderful is the Dharma... This is the secret of all perfect Buddhas... Everything ceases from the unceasing, In the very ceasing, there is no ceasing. Ema, how wonderful is the Dharma... This is the secret of all perfect Buddhas... Everything abides from the un abiding, In the very abiding, there is no abiding. Ema, how wonderful is the Dharma... This is the secret of all perfect Buddhas... Going and coming arise from no going and coming, In the very going and coming, there is no going and coming. Thus, be certain. In this way, the first three empowerments are the expedient path stages related to phenomena, and are the empowerments for contemplating and practicing the meaning of the illusory form body of the generation stage. The fourth empowerment is the wisdom path stage related to non-phenomena, which is the empowerment for contemplating the meaning of the completion stage like the sky, and for becoming the cause of obtaining the sacred Dharmakaya.

Therefore, it is called "empowerment" because of having power. This is symbolically explained by the blazing precious torma. In the case of the first three empowerments, the torma is understood as the deity and the palace, so it is merely the meaning of the generation stage empowerment with appearance. In the case of the fourth empowerment, the torma is understood as a symbolic meaning, so it is the pure manifestation of the completion stage empowerment without appearance. This also looks at the three: the ground, the path, and the fruit, where the ground is the blazing jewel that symbolizes reality. If this nature of mind is realized, Buddhahood will arise; if it is not realized, samsara will arise. However, there is no distinction of good or bad in the ground, it itself abides in the spontaneously accomplished great perfection of emptiness and clarity. From the "Boundless Expanse": "The nature of mind is like a precious jewel, it is the basis from which all of samsara and nirvana arise." The path is the blazing jewel that symbolizes the nature of mind appearing in various ways. All phenomena are merely appearances of the way the nature of mind, the precious jewel, manifests. From the "Six Realms": "The nature of mind is like a precious jewel, however one looks at its appearance, there is no basis for error, no addition or subtraction." That is to say, when the nature of mind is not realized, it appears as the illusion of the six realms, and the apprehended and the apprehender, just like a jewel placed on various colored cloths or on something black. When realization is the path and the fruit, the qualities of the bhumis and paths and the wisdom of the Buddhas appear. From the "Mother Tantra": "If a precious jewel is wrapped in a white cloth and placed in water, it will become white. Similarly, if it is wrapped in yellow, red, blue, and black, and then placed in water, it will also become those colors. The so-called jewel is the secret word of the Prajnaparamita. The so-called various colored cloths are the secret words of samsara and nirvana." That is to say, the nature of mind is like a jewel, wrapped in the five poisons (stinginess) and six afflictions, so it appears as the six illusions of the six types of beings. Wrapped in the cloth of the six sense faculties with substance, so it appears as the phenomena of the six aggregates and their objects. Wrapped in the cloth of self-cherishing vehicles, so it appears as the phenomena of good and bad of the nine vehicles. Although the way it appears is diverse, reality has never moved from one awareness. Just as a jewel is wrapped in various cloths, appearing in countless colors, but its essence has never changed. The fruit symbolizes the three kayas.
