Adorned with a five-Buddha crown on the head, holding a silver bell in the left hand at the waist, seated in the vajra posture on a lion throne, lotus, sun, and moon cushion, with a backdrop of five-colored light rays, emanating pure five-colored light from the body, the union of appearance and emptiness is like the moon in water. Appearance without inherent existence is like a reflection in a mirror. Clear and transparent, without obscuration, like illusion and dreams. Like a rainbow in the sky, appearing but without substance. Not established as a real object or an obstructive entity, like impermanence, untruth, and illusion, relax and abide in the nature of no inherent existence for a long time. In summary, at this time, cultivate the pride of the deity, like the twelve examples of illusion, appearance without inherent existence. Meditate on clarity without conceptualization, which is the illusory body. The twelve examples of illusion mentioned are: As stated in the Guhyasamaja Tantra: Illusion, mirage, dream, and reflection, Gandharva city, echo, moon in water, bubble, cataract, and emanation, etc. As it is said, in order to destroy the strong clinging to permanence, stability, and reality, like the twelve examples of illusion, knowing the nature of appearance without clinging, clarity and emptiness, it is crucial to meditate on the samadhi of the illusory body. This will surely manifest the illusion-like samadhi that transcends the extremes of truth and falsehood, as stated in the Five Stages of Completion: The completion stage that destroys truth and falsehood. Therefore, diligent practice is essential. Fourth, the completion stage of meditating on clear light. The root text says: Fourth, meditating on clear light, visualize a white A (Tibetan: ཨ, Devanagari: अ, Romanized Sanskrit: a, Literal Chinese meaning: A) on the forehead of the illusory body. From the A (Tibetan: ཨ, Devanagari: अ, Romanized Sanskrit: a, Literal Chinese meaning: A), white light radiates, the illusory body dissolves into a mass of light. Dissolving into the mind, the nature of mind is, arising from the mind, dissolving into mental factors, dissolving into emptiness, awareness is, abiding in the state of emptiness. The name of the sign is different from the one with the sign, when meditating on clear light, the sign arises like smoke. The illusory body and clear light are inseparable, it is the body of union. The commentary says: Visualize A (Tibetan: ཨ, Devanagari: अ, Romanized Sanskrit: a, Literal Chinese meaning: A) on the forehead of the illusory body, from the A (Tibetan: ཨ, Devanagari: अ, Romanized Sanskrit: a, Literal Chinese meaning: A) white light arises, the illusory body dissolves into light, transforming into a ball of light dissolving into the mind. Mind and mental factors, mental factors are bliss and emptiness.

Remaining dissolved, awareness remains in emptiness. To remain in luminosity is to place the name on the named, meaning that when meditating on luminous emptiness, signs such as light and smoke will arise. As it is said, the way to meditate is: visualize yourself as Vajrasattva, a body of appearance and emptiness inseparable, and on his forehead, visualize a white A, shining brightly. From it, radiate immeasurable white light, pervading the entire body that appears as the illusory body of Vajrasattva, and that deity body of appearance and emptiness inseparable also melts into light, merging into the white A, the nature of mind. The white A of mind-essence also merges into the great emptiness born of mind. The emptiness born of mind, inseparable from bliss and emptiness, also remains in the nature of transcending consciousness, without any object of focus, without any intention. By meditating in this way, in the sign of placing the name on the named, experiences such as shimmering light, like smoke dissipating, and like a clear autumn sky without clouds will arise. The tantra says: "The order of meditating on luminosity, visualize A on Vajrasattva's forehead, A radiates light pervading the body, the illusory body dissolves into light and merges into A, A is the unborn mind, mind-born mind-essence meaning, merges into emptiness and dwells in luminosity, the sign is like smoke, its nature is without." It is also described in detail in the Five Stages of Completion. In the root commentary, this place is slightly omitted, so it is described in detail according to the tantra and the Five Stages of Completion. Its meaning is, in the summary meaning it says: "He should also know that the nature of the illusory body, ultimate truth is emptiness, although it appears, it cannot be obtained if analyzed. Appearance is one's own illusion, illusion is conventional, born from ignorance. Ignorance is what is to be abandoned, what is abandoned is emptiness. One should know that all dharmas are empty from the beginning, so meditate on the nature of the deity as emptiness, this is luminosity." According to the meaning of what is said, one should carefully observe and analyze, and generate realization in samadhi. Fifth, explaining the completion stage of union, the root verse says: "The appearance part is the illusory body, the nature part is luminosity, like fish in clear water, jumping quickly, in all emptiness luminosity, the body of union will arise, in samadhi."
