Thinking of abiding in its center. In the mouth: Four hundred and four diseases, twenty-one thousand disasters, three hundred and sixty demons, eighty thousand kinds of obstacles, may all unfavorable directions be pacified. Recite this seven times. Thus, attain accomplishment. Whoever practices in this way for seven days, even a yogi whose life is exhausted, will also attain the life of Brahma. I, Padmasambhava, have some hidden longevity practices, and there is nothing deeper than this. It was written down in the Golden Chamber Continent and hidden on the border of Mon and Tibet, may it meet with a karmically connected one. Samaya. Seal of the body. Seal of speech. Seal of mind. Samaya. Seal, seal, seal. Seal, seal, seal. Seal, seal, seal. This is the treasure of the Garuda Rock. Ati. The Instructions on the Transference of Consciousness The Instructions on the Transference of Consciousness. Ema! If the time has come, the yogi should transfer consciousness. When the elements dissolve and the breath is exhausted, meditate clearly on the generation stage yoga. With devotion, take refuge, and for relatives, enjoyments, and dwellings, abandon attachment to anything, and focus single-pointedly above. One's own consciousness is in the center of the heart, the white A, with the nature of light, possessing five colors, oily and round. The forty-two peaceful deities in the heart, surrounded by three circles, shoot out from the Brahma hole in the central channel like an arrow. Awareness is without support, transferring into space. At the time of transference, accompanied by the sound of Hi Ka Gi Dri. It can also be practiced before death, and signs of stability should arise. Even a samsaric being carried away by karma, at the time of transference, only needs the syllable Da. Even a sinful hunter is the same, because it is not secret. If this is present, there is no possibility of falling into samsara. It can be relied upon by any means. This is a teaching that is even deeper than the profound. I, Orgyen Padmasambhava, in order to perfect the conditions for yogis, hid it as a treasure for the benefit of the future. This is a teaching that can be accomplished with just one volume. Yogi with no fixed conduct, may you, the karmically connected one, meet with this. Samaya. Seal, seal, seal. Asing. This is the ultimate instruction on the transference of consciousness. I, named Yogi Ratna, extracted it from the Garuda Rock Cave. May it guide beings at the end of time. The Key Instructions on the Bardo The Key Instructions on the Bardo. Homage to glorious Vajrasattva. For future fortunate ones

O noble ones, when going from here to the other shore, although many forms of Bardo are spoken of, one should know the Bardo of Dharmata. Moreover, in the union of the sun and moon, when a disease afflicts the body of a person, and these signs appear in someone, then the time of death is near. The manner in which the five elements dissolve: when earth dissolves into earth, the body becomes heavy and cannot take food, and all strength to stand and walk is exhausted. When water dissolves into water, saliva, nasal mucus, and tears flow. Likewise, when fire dissolves into fire, the mouth and nose become very dry, and the body's warmth and radiance are lost. Likewise, when wind dissolves into wind, the breath becomes labored, the limbs tremble, and the eyes roll upwards. Whoever shows these signs will not remain here but will go to the other shore. At that time, the Guru's instructions should be kept in one's mind. Thus it is said. Furthermore, the wind gathers the blood and strikes the life-force channel, the head nods, hiccups occur, and the breath is cut off. Consciousness faints and remains in the heart center. Then, when the inner breath ceases, the Bardo of Dharmata appears. Consciousness rides the horse of wind, fluttering and pervading everything. At that time, consciousness is freed from the body's constraints, unable to stay and feeling cold, unimpeded by rocks and water, like a cotton fluff lifted by the wind, wavering and fluttering. Various colors of light pervade the realms, shimmering, moving, trembling, feeling soft when pressed, feeling pulsating when lifted, clusters of light shimmering, the peaceful and wrathful forms inconceivable. Not recognizing self-appearance as wisdom, the forms of the Lord of Death are terrifying beyond measure. Thus, countless sounds of one's own voice, like roaring, and so on, appear. Furthermore, countless frights, fears, and terrors arise. Although without a body, the appearance of having a body arises due to past habitual patterns. The mind shivers and flutters, and after some thought, one realizes, "Ah, I have died, what should I do?" Thus, intense cold suffering arises in the heart. However, consciousness becomes seven times clearer than before. In this, the best yogi, like a garuda breaking free from its egg, dissolves illusions and attains Buddhahood without going through the Bardo. The middling yogi, upon seeing all forms of sound, light, and rays, as if meeting people previously known, remembers the Guru's instructions, and self-appearance is recognized as illusion.
