It is said that Master Virupa transformed alcohol into milk to enjoy. If one cannot transform it in this way, it is not permissible to drink. In the Tantra of the Source of Vows, it says: If one is separated from the three syllables 'Ha' (Tibetan: ཧ་གསུམ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: त्रय ह, Sanskrit Roman transliteration: traya ha, literal Chinese meaning: three Ha), how can a vow-holder drink? The accomplishment of mantras will not arise; there is no doubt that it will turn into poison. A mantra practitioner who is transformed by alcohol becomes parched with desire and craves sexual intercourse. He becomes boisterous and sings songs in the same way, engages in fights and other kinds of confusion, destroys and harms actions, and sin will cause him to fall into hell. When the yoginis become angry, they will terrify him with disease and sorrow, thereby tormenting him, and the sinner will be cast into hell. He slanders and insults the guru, and does not give to sentient beings who harbor hatred. The practice of accomplishment has no result. Mantra practitioners should abandon these things, as spoken by the Buddhas of the past. Moreover, the Bhagavan said: Those who regard me as their teacher do not sell alcohol, do not drink alcohol, and do not give alcohol to others. King and his beloved consort and retinue were born in hell because they drank alcohol. When this Thubpa (Shakyamuni Buddha) was reborn as the god Indra, he spoke of the thirty-two faults of alcohol and made people observe them, and therefore he was born in the heavenly realm. One must also abstain from eating meat. When this Thubpa was reborn as the chick of a bird-burner, he attained Buddhahood by abstaining from meat. The heroes and dakinis also transform meat and eat it. A monk who was guiding the master Nagpopa also transformed himself into a crow to enjoy it. At that time, because he could transform meat into nectar, it was permissible to eat it. In the evening feast, if one can transform it into nectar, it is permissible to enjoy it, but if one cannot, it is not permissible. King Indrabhuti sent afternoon food to Master Lawapa, with the Ganges River in between. King Indrabhuti, with the truth of abandoning desire, made the aspiration: 'May the river flow backward!' The river flowed backward, and passed behind him, and the afternoon food was offered to Master Lawapa, and the master enjoyed it, but the queen did not believe it, and asked how the river could flow backward. Master Lawapa, with the blessing of the truth of not eating the afternoon food, said: 'May the Ganges River flow backward!' After the river flowed backward, it flowed back again. Homage

The practice of Mudra (ཕྱག་རྒྱ། ,Sanskrit: Mudra, Roman transliteration: Mudra, meaning: hand gesture) and the afternoon Tsog offering are also suitable at that time. There is also the fault of the wife's distrust in that. If it is not like that, practicing Mudra is like rubbing an iron sieve on a mountain. If you cannot abstain from food in the afternoon, first, a wandering mendicant should keep the rule of not eating in the afternoon. If one cannot do it at once, one will be born as a Naga. Therefore, guarding the two hundred and fifty-three precepts, the twenty precepts of the Bodhisattva, the fourteen root vows of the Secret Mantra, and the eight branch vows is the method of eliminating the obstacles of the Secret Mantra. The other two should be understood as mentioned above. The fourteen root downfalls are: transgressing the words of the Sugata, quarreling with Vajra brothers, abandoning loving-kindness, abandoning Bodhicitta, not following the Guru but showing contempt, slandering the Dharma of others, proclaiming secrets to immature beings, showing contempt for the aggregates being the nature of the Buddha with ordinary behavior, doubting the emptiness that is pure from the beginning, being loving to the enemy of the Guru, discriminating between good and bad in the Dharma that is beyond mind, discouraging beings who want to practice Dharma, not relying on the vows of the four empowerments, harming women who are the nature of Wisdom Pig. If these fourteen are lost, one will encounter obstacles due to losing the empowerment. Now are the eight branches: not relying on a consort who does not have vows, fighting in the assembly row, preparing nectar pills for a consort who does not have the characteristics, knowing the Secret Mantra but not proclaiming it to a suitable vessel, speaking other words to a faithful person who asks for the Dharma, staying in the Sravaka community for seven days, not understanding the Secret Mantra, not realizing the nature of mind but saying I am a mantra practitioner, not speaking the outer Dharma to a non-vessel but speaking the Secret Mantra. These eight, if the four root vows are violated knowingly, then the main practice ends. If there is no regret after knowing it, and one continues with this mindset, then the seven branches are completed, and one will fall into hell for many kalpas and become an obstacle. Therefore, even if one of the three trainings cannot be done, it will become an obstacle, so it is very important to protect all three. A monk was surrounded by a woman like a goddess playing, that monk cut off his small tongue, even if he lost his life, he...
