The virtue that is universally enjoyed merely by holding it. The virtue arising from application is the virtue that is universally enjoyed through the power of conditions. The virtue of placing it in front is the virtue that is universally enjoyed because one wants to make offerings to those with qualities. The virtue of benefiting is the virtue that is universally enjoyed because one wants to benefit the inferior. The virtue of completely grasping is the virtue of grasping, desiring the fruits of higher realms and definite goodness. The virtue of antidote is the virtue of destroying unfavorable aspects. The virtue of near pacification is the virtue in which all feelings and thoughts of affliction or the place of affliction are extinguished. The virtue of a similar cause is the virtue produced by virtue. The characteristic of non-virtue is that it should be abandoned as a means of abandoning unwanted future results. There are twelve types. Intrinsically non-virtuous is that which is born by nature as a source of all misconduct. Related non-virtue is that which is born as a source of all misconduct through the power of friends. Subsequently related non-virtue is the power established by all misconduct and its causes. That which provokes is the misconduct of body and speech provoked by non-virtue. The ultimate is that which is seen by the noble ones as entirely blameworthy. That which is obtained by birth is the misconduct that is universally practiced merely by holding the same kind due to the power of previous habituation. That which arises from application is the misconduct that is universally practiced through the power of conditions. That which is placed in front is the misconduct that is universally practiced with the intention of worshiping gods. That which harms is the misconduct of wrongly accomplishing something for others. That which is completely grasped is the misconduct of grasping unwanted maturation in happy or unhappy realms. That of the unfavorable side is the dharma that interrupts the antidote. The non-virtue that interrupts is the dharma that interrupts virtue. The characteristic of the unspecified is that it is not a dharma to be accepted or rejected as a means of obtaining or abandoning desired or undesired results. There are fourteen types. Intrinsically unspecified is that which is born by nature without the power to produce desired or undesired results. Related is that which is born there through the power of friends. Subsequent is the power established by the unspecified.
