By the power of..., the formation established in the state of the continuity of the ripening aggregate being necessarily permanent. The similar one is: the formation established in the state of the continuity of the ripening aggregate being similar. Birth is: the formation established in the state of the continuity of the six internal sense sources newly arising where there was none before. Aging is: the state of the continuity of the six internal sense sources changing. Abiding is: the state of the continuity of those six not being destroyed. Impermanence is: the state of the continuity of those six being destroyed. Collection of names is: the state of verbal expressions showing the essence of phenomena. Collection of words is: the state of verbal expressions showing the distinctions of phenomena. Collection of letters is: the formation established as the basis of both name and word in the state of expressive sound. Ordinary being is: the state of the six internal sense sources of one who has not attained the noble path. Entering is: the state of the continuity of cause and effect not being interrupted. Separate determination is: the state of cause and effect being distinct. Conforming is: the state of cause and effect being in accordance. Quick is: the state of cause and effect arising quickly. Order is: the state of cause and effect arising one by one. Time is: the state of the continuity of cause and effect not being interrupted. Place is: the state of colored cause and effect existing in the ten directions. (The twenty-second characteristic of number is missing in the example.) Assembly is: the formation established in the state of causes and conditions being complete without lack. Regarding the classification of the aggregate of consciousness, there are two: the definition and the establishment of the basis. First, the definition of consciousness or mind is the knowledge that completely determines the mere essence of things. Second, the mind that possesses such a definition also has three aspects: mind, intellect, and consciousness. Thus, the mind divided into three and the alaya are the same in meaning, therefore the definition is: the ripening consciousness, and that which becomes the basis of all defiled seeds. The division has two parts: seed and ripening. The first part is: that which becomes the cause and condition of all defiled dharmas, and from the part of ripening, it is inexpressible as being the same or different from it. The second part is: the power of karma.

It is the consciousness of the nature in which habits are completely matured. The characteristic of mind: It is any of the co-emergent bases of consciousness or its immediately preceding base. It is also divided into two types: afflicted mind and the mind that has just ceased the six consciousnesses. The first is: The consciousness that always clings to the self by focusing on the Alaya consciousness, and is associated with the four afflictions. The second is: Any of the entering consciousnesses that open the door for the subsequent consciousness to arise immediately after its cessation. The consciousness divided into three categories and the entering consciousness have the same meaning, so the characteristic is: To distinguish the nature of any of the six objects individually. The classification includes the six types of eye consciousness, etc., in order from: Relying on the eye faculty to distinguish the nature of form individually, to relying on the mind faculty to distinguish the nature of dharma individually. The characteristics of realms and sources have already been explained. The determination of the names is not explained because it is easy to understand in the treatises. Unconditioned phenomena that are not included in the aggregates and are included in the realm of dharma and the source of dharma have two aspects: characteristics and classifications. The first is: Any dharma that is not produced by causes and conditions. The second is: The six types such as Suchness. The characteristic of Suchness: It is the realm of emptiness of the two selves, and nothing else can change. It can be divided into three types from the perspective of the subject of dharma, such as the Suchness of virtue. From the perspective of names, there are selflessness, emptiness, the ultimate limit, signlessness, ultimate truth, and the realm of dharma. Space is merely the non-affirming negation of obstructing forms. Non-selective cessation is: Although it is not abandoned by the antidote, it is the cessation obtained by the power of the lack of causes and conditions. Selective cessation is: The cessation obtained by the power of the selective observation of wisdom. Immovable is: The complete cessation of feelings that produce change, so it is an extremely separated non-affirming negation. The cessation of perception and feeling is: The complete cessation of coarse feelings and perceptions, so it is an extremely separated non-affirming negation. The extreme classification of aspects is: As it is said, "Real existence, knowable, form, etc., contaminated arising, etc., and past and conditions, etc.", the first of the sixty is divided into four types such as real existence. Real existence is: Generally speaking, it is real existence that can be analyzed by reason, real existence that has the ability to function, self-
