Therefore, it is necessary to have these qualifications. Among them, those who are proficient in their own and others' doctrines are able to speak in all speaking situations. The fearless are able to speak in all gatherings known as wise men and monks. Those with wisdom know how to answer all questions. For those who wish for benefit, the instruction not to argue is: those who wish for happiness in the ultimate state should know the ways of speaking as described above, and should not argue with others, because most arguments do not turn into Dharma. The proof of this is "Bhagavan" and so on. Bodhisattvas, hearing the Dharma and so on, strive in the direction of virtue, also out of the intention of omniscience, not for the sake of gain and honor, so they should diligently strive, with the intention of benefiting themselves and others, to gather sentient beings and so on. The twelve places refer to: the Great Vehicle, which possesses the supreme meaning of the sacred Dharma, is profound in nature, so even if it has been said not to argue, if speaking truthfully and knowing everything is rare, then speaking with argument is even less necessary. Those who speak with argument, if speaking with the intention of knowing everything is rare, then speaking with the intention of finding fault is even more common. In the assembly of listeners, if those with wisdom and analytical abilities are rare, then those with prejudice are many. All actions of speaking mostly possess six faults, and few can avoid these six faults when speaking. For example, sometimes one may accidentally completely accept and cling to wrong views, abandon correct words, gossip behind one's back, use words to defeat the opponent, etc., these are deceitful words. Not finishing speaking completely, starting to speak at inappropriate times, even if the opponent speaks well, one destroys the merits of their words and slanders them, disturbs the opponent's mind with harsh words, and one's own mind is also disturbed by these words, these are the six faults, and these are the fifth situation. Few can speak with joy and without being distracted by anger, with a peaceful mind, few can protect the minds of others by causing them to gain faith, and few can remember their own state of liberation—meditation.

Rare is the one who is silent and speaks little; when speaking, one is mostly distracted by joy or anger. Rare is the one without the desire for one's own victory or another's defeat, and if that exists, the mind is completely tormented. Rare is the one without afflictions, rare is the one who abides in happiness, and rare is the one who, not clinging to happiness, continuously cultivates virtuous dharmas. Therefore, one who seeks to attain excellence but fails to do so will completely degenerate. Thus, virtuous dharmas, and so on, are said to be rare. Seventh, the definitive intention of implicitness refers to the implicit definitive intention in translation, which has two aspects. The definition is: that which is expressed by the collection of names, words, and letters is completely translated into another meaning. There are four examples of sutra statements. Transforming sin into purity: For example, like "father and mother," and so on. This verse completely transforms the letters that express what is considered the most sinful in the world into purity. What is considered extremely reprehensible in the world is killing a superior person and killing many ordinary people. Superior people are also of two types: individually defined and commonly recognized in the world. The first is parents. The second is divided into those who completely nurture and those who are objects of giving. The first is the king. The second is the pure Brahmins, because they are considered extremely pure. If all of these are killed, it is called killing a superior person. Many ordinary people refers to destroying and eliminating all the people of a region and their retinue, including cattle, horses, mules, and so on. Transforming these letters into purity, the father is the karma of projecting, the mother is the desire for manifest accomplishment, the king is the consciousness with grasping, the pure one is the two kinds of self-grasping, the region is the six sense sources, and the retinue is that which is related to the object. Therefore, karma and desire should be abandoned, grasping consciousness and the two kinds of self-grasping. If the six sense sources and their related objects are destroyed, then that person will become pure. This is the meaning to be expressed. Transforming the bad into the excellent: For example, not believing, and so on. This refers to the letters that express bad meanings.
