This is to completely transform into the supreme. Among these, what are known as bad deeds in the world are four: bad deeds of mind, bad deeds of body, bad deeds of speech, and bad enjoyments. The first has two aspects: being contrary to engaging in virtue, not believing in the afterlife, etc., and therefore not engaging in generosity or other virtuous deeds; and being in accordance with engaging in non-virtue, not repenting for bad deeds, not considering previous kindness but killing, etc., not turning back from misdeeds. The second is: someone who is a thief who breaks into houses, because their livelihood is extremely base. The third is: destroying the opportunity for truth, being enthusiastic about lying, and associating with such people is not allowed in gatherings, etc. The fourth is: dogs, crows, and pretas (hungry ghosts), etc., because they eat vomit. Transforming these into the supreme is: not believing is because one possesses the wisdom of liberation and believes in oneself. Not repaying kindness is because one knows the unconditioned and nirvana. Breaking into houses is because one has abandoned the afflictions that connect with rebirth. Destroying opportunity is because there is no opportunity for suffering to manifest in all future destinations. Eating vomit is because, although one maintains the body in this life through the power of resources, one does not hope for enjoyment or life. Associating with such people is a supreme person. Transforming the cause of samsara into great Bodhi is like "without essence," etc., where essence is distraction, and knowing the absence of distraction is relying on the samadhi without distraction. Transforming from the perverted views of permanence, bliss, etc., to abiding in impermanence, etc., is attaining true wisdom. Not obtained through the hardship of benefiting others, but completely defiled by afflictions, is striving for the vast accumulation of merit. By striving for the two accumulations in this way, one will attain the supreme Bodhi, the fruit of Buddhahood. Transforming unfavorable factors into allies has two aspects. In terms of generosity, it is like "again, as it is said," etc., increasing the nature of stinginess, which is abandoning the latent tendencies of stinginess along with their imprints.

It is for the sake of manifesting that the thusness of that place has been transformed. To be completely weary of giving is because of acting as if weary by giving up cherishing the head for a long time, and so on. To be angry at beggars is because one wants to receive oneself, which is incompatible with begging. Sometimes not giving anything at all is because all things are always given. To be far from giving is because one has abandoned impure giving such as giving to relatives and expecting returns. To abide in celibacy, like "again" and so on, not seeking a way to definitely ( निश्चित, niścita, certain) escape from it other than distinguishing the thusness of sexual intercourse, is because one abandons it after truly knowing that itself. To be negligent in abandoning it is because of distinguishing the method of abandoning non-celibacy. Accepting the arising of sexual desire is because the desire of desire arises internally and is abandoned externally. To be afraid of the Dharma that is the antidote to that is because one strives for the sake of liberating all sentient beings with the Dharma that is the antidote to that. To constantly combine two with two is because one enters into samadhi with the two paths of the mundane and supramundane, with the two of calm abiding and insight, focusing on the four truths. The determination of the overflowing words from the extensive commentary on the Abhidharma-samuccaya, the Well-Spoken Ocean, is the explanation of the fifth chapter of the Samuccaya. Third, wanting to explain the name and meaning of the treatise, the question is asked, "This treatise," and so on. The answer is that it is summarized after understanding in the manner of defining the terms, that is, the Bodhisattva Arya Asanga, after realizing the thusness, briefly summarized it. Also, it is because it is summarized from the Abhidharma Sutra in all places of thought. It is also the basis of true seeing, because it can be obtained until Buddhahood in an unconfused manner. Among these, the first point is to eliminate the causes of composing the treatise, caused by not knowing and knowing perversely, and so on. The second point is that the place of self-praise is abandoned. The third point is that it shows that it has excellent necessity and characteristics. Abhidharma Samuccaya
