Even if one has compassion for the inferior, it is not with the loving language of the body, because they teach the Dharma with the body, not with words. In order to dispel hatred, they show various kinds of miracles. When miracles are shown in this way, by the power of past aspirations and so on, starting from the path of higher realms and definite goodness, the meaning of the Dharma that one wishes to teach will appear in the minds of the disciples. As it is said in the Ornament for Clear Realization: "Whatever meaning for whatever, as one wishes to hear, that meaning for that, even without sound, it appears as such." Third, on the Mahayana grounds, as before, in the seven grounds, a Bodhisattva who abides in the certainty of the Dharma nature is irreversible from perfect enlightenment. There are two types of irreversibility: irreversibility by the power of lineage and irreversibility by the power of realization. The first is the certainty of irreversibility from the accumulation path to perfect enlightenment, like some beings with extremely sharp faculties, such as Manjushri. The second is obtaining tolerance of the unborn Dharma, which is threefold by the distinction of small, medium, and great tolerance, and these are also the nature of the path of joining, seeing, and meditation, respectively. As it is said in the Ornament for Clear Realization: "From the part of definite emergence, on the paths of seeing and habituation, whichever Bodhisattva abides, this is the assembly of the irreversible." Others explain that in those stages, irreversibility is obtained by the sharp, medium, and dull faculties. Abiding in the uncertain is understood by implication. The faculty is sharp in relation to the two below. Otherwise, in the Ornament for Clear Realization, it says: "Perfect enlightenment is sharp, easy to realize, difficult to realize by the dull." Because in that itself, the sharpness and dullness of the faculties are explained. Aspiration is the generation of the mind of enlightenment, and its nature is what is said in that itself: "The generation of the mind of enlightenment is for the sake of others, desiring perfect enlightenment." If divided, there are two types: aspiration and entering. The first is characterized by wanting to obtain the result.

Secondly, in terms of its meaning, it is characterized by learning the path through the six perfections. As it is said in the *Entering the Two Truths*: 'Here, first the Protector, Rightly explains the aspects of seeking meaning; Secondly, regarding generosity and so forth, He thoroughly proclaims the aspects of entering.' The rest is easy. Maturing sentient beings is twofold: making the continuum suitable as a vessel for the path of liberation, and making it suitable as a vessel for the Great Vehicle. The first is as it says in the *Ornament of the Sutras*: 'Just as wounds and food, Are desired to ripen by being suitable For licking and enjoying them, Likewise, here in this basis, it is desired To pacify the two aspects, Likewise, it is desired to ripen into enjoyment itself.' That is, making the continuum suitable for abandoning what should be abandoned and suitable for generating antidotes. The second is as it says in the *Uttaratantra*: 'Entering the path of the peaceful world, And the form that is the cause of fully ripening and prophecy, Whatever it is, it is also always present here, Like the realm of form in the realm of space.' That is, reversing the mind that delights in peace and making it suitable as a vessel for generating the mind of the Great Vehicle. Purifying the Buddha-field means that, having निश्चित become enlightened, one makes aspirations that the world of beings and environment in which one will become enlightened in the future will become pure as one wishes, and accumulates merit for that purpose. Obtaining prophecy is the same as the phrase 'obtaining tolerance of the unborn dharma' on the eighth ground, because at that time one obtains prophecy. Furthermore, in the *Ornament of the Sutras*: 'By the distinction of the person's time, The wise have two kinds of prophecy, Enlightenment and prophecy, And other great statements, By obtaining tolerance of the unborn.' The great prophecy is: 'Also, that field and name, And the name of the time and age, The retinue and the sacred teachings, Are also desired to be abandoned from the point of view of abiding.' So it is said. The third section, distinguished by proximate indication, has three parts: applying it to the path of accumulation, applying it to the path of preparation, and not losing the root of these small and medium ones. The first case is that, relative to the later cases, a person who has not accumulated merit focuses on the teachings that show the four truths and has faith in holding them as they are ascertained.
