Oh, as previously stated. Again, it was said, "Why is the truth of suffering to be fully understood, the truth of origination to be abandoned, the truth of cessation to be realized, and the truth of the path to be cultivated?" It was said, "The truth of suffering is the place of the four inversions, therefore, in order to eliminate the inversions, it is to be fully understood. The truth of origination is included in the truth of suffering. Even if the truth of suffering is fully understood, it is still related to the truth of origination, therefore the truth of origination is to be abandoned. To be realized means to be manifested. If it is realized, one will not be afraid of cessation and will fully embrace joy, therefore the truth of cessation is to be realized. In order to accomplish the three meanings mentioned above, the path must be cultivated, therefore the truth of the path is to be cultivated." It was said that the deeper meaning of this is as follows: If all four truths are to be fully understood, then why is only the truth of suffering to be fully understood? Because for the truth of suffering, children mistakenly cling to the aspects of purity, happiness, permanence, and self. Therefore, the truth of suffering is the place of the four inversions. In order to eliminate the inversions, it must be understood through both its own characteristics and its general characteristics. Therefore, the truth of suffering is to be fully understood. Among them, the other three aspects, such as impermanence, also follow the remaining truths, therefore they are general characteristics. And the aspect of suffering alone is its own characteristic. The remaining truths, such as cause and origination, are to be understood only through their own characteristics, and not through their general characteristics, because there is no clinging to permanence or other inversions in these truths. Even if the truth of suffering is also to be abandoned because it is tainted, then why is only the truth of origination to be abandoned? Because without abandoning the cause of suffering, one cannot abandon suffering. The cause of

Therefore, just as what cause produces what effect. If someone does not want the self-nature of something, then he should abandon the self-nature of the cause of that thing. Just as someone who wants to be free from disease should abandon the cause of disease, someone who does not want suffering should also abandon the cause of suffering. Therefore, the truth of origin is the only thing that should be abandoned. If the path also needs to be realized, then why is it said that only the truth of cessation needs to be realized? Because children are attached to the aggregates of suffering, and because they are afraid of losing it, they will be afraid of the truth of cessation where all suffering ceases, and therefore they will not rely on the path to attain it. When the truth of cessation, where all suffering is pacified, is solemnly taught as something to be realized, they will not be afraid of cessation, but will fully embrace joy, and will strive on the path to attain it, therefore the truth of cessation is taught as something to be realized. Knowing suffering, abandoning the origin, and realizing cessation will not happen if the path is not practiced, therefore the path is taught as something to be cultivated. Now I will explain the self-nature of each truth. First, wanting to explain the self-nature of the truth of suffering, what is the truth of suffering? Thus it is said. This also has four aspects: showing the sentient and insentient world as the truth of suffering, explaining that suffering arises from the sutras, external characteristics and nature, and explaining the differences from these. The first is divided into two: the real and the special. The first is divided into three: a general explanation, a detailed explanation, and a summary of the meaning. The first general explanation is: the truth of suffering is the sentient world where beings are born, and the container world where beings are born, these two need to be known. The second detailed explanation is: among the sentient world and the insentient world, first, with regard to the former, what is born by beings? Thus it is said. That is, beings are born in hells, etc. Because it is not merit that leads them there, or because there is no joy, therefore it is hell.
