Now there is. Emptiness exists slightly. If non-emptiness exists slightly, how could emptiness exist? Because the basis of emptiness is not established, emptiness is also not established. Moreover, it is said therein: The emptiness of the Buddhas will surely destroy all views. Those who cling to emptiness are said to be incurable heretics. If the Collection of Reasoning does not merely explain self-emptiness, but in the Praise of the Dharmadhatu it says: If one does not fully understand, one will wander in the three realms. I prostrate to the Dharmadhatu that dwells in the hearts of all sentient beings. That which becomes the cause of samsara, through practice is purified, the pure one is nirvana, and the Dharmakaya is also the same. If it is thought that these and so on explain the other-empty ultimate truth, then, that very treatise itself explains that the nature of the mind is clear light, which in the relative is defiled by afflictions and is samsara, and that by practicing the path, the adventitious defiled dharmas are removed, which is nirvana and the way to transform into the Dharmakaya. Just as a lamp in a vase, it does not appear slightly, similarly in a vase of afflictions, the Dharmadhatu cannot be seen. It only explains through various metaphors, and there is not a single word that explains that the Tathagatagarbha, which is empty of the relative, is permanent and stable, and established in the ultimate. Moreover, in the Praise of the Ultimate and the Praise of the Transcendent and other treatises, it is also in accordance with the Collection of Reasoning, and it prevents all extremes of elaboration. Therefore, it should be understood that the tenets of the other-empty proponents are contrary to the tenets of the noble Nagarjuna. The emptiness that appears in the Five Treatises of Maitreya and the treatises of the brothers Asanga has three aspects: Thus, emptiness by its own characteristic, as well as emptiness of non-existence, and emptiness by its own nature. The first is: the nature of the completely imputed, the second is: the nature of the dependent, the third is: the nature of the perfectly established.

This reason has been explained before, and will be explained here as well. Thus, in the "Distinguishing the Middle from the Extremes" it is said: "The non-real of that non-real, is said to be empty by nature." Also, in the "Ornament of the Sutras" it is said: "Knowing the emptiness of non-existence, likewise knowing the emptiness of non-being, after knowing the emptiness of self-nature, it is said to be knowing emptiness." It is also said that there are sixteen emptinesses, such as the emptiness of the internal, namely: The body of the eater and the eaten, the emptiness of the basis of the place. How is that seen by whom? Why is that also emptiness? For the sake of obtaining two virtues, for the sake of constantly benefiting sentient beings, for the sake of not abandoning samsara, for the sake of purifying the lineage, for the sake of obtaining marks and signs, for the sake of purifying the Buddha's teachings, one practices the bodhisattva path. In the person and in the dharmas, this absence of things is emptiness, that real existence of non-reality, that is a different emptiness from that. Thus it is said. Among them, the first fourteen are divided by the differences of the distinct characteristics, and the latter two are divided by the nature of emptiness itself. In general, emptiness is other-powered, that is, the very conceptualization that is truly existent, that is empty of the imputed by the imputation on beings and dharmas. That is also divided into affirmative negation and non-affirmative negation. The affirmative negation that negates the object to be negated, the imputation, that is the emptiness of the absence of things. The non-affirmative negation, the basis of negation distinguished by that. That itself is called the emptiness of the nature of the absence of things, that is the nominal perfect reality, and is the characteristic of other-powered. The emptiness of the internal is the consciousness that appears as the six internal sense bases of the eater, that is the nature imputed on beings and dharmas, the affirmative negation and non-affirmative negation that have not been established from the beginning, and this way of emptiness can also be applied to others. The emptiness of the external is the consciousness that appears as the six external sense bases of the eaten, which is included in the non-true conceptualization. The internal and external are the consciousness that appears as the body. The great emptiness is the consciousness that appears as the container world of the place. Emptiness is the consciousness that appears as emptiness. The ultimate is the emptiness itself in the ultimate.
