Because at all times, none of these are without being absent. Constantly accompanying afflictions at all times are the afflicted mind and the four afflictions such as ignorance that accompany it. Sometimes corresponding to the mind are virtues such as faith, afflictions such as desire, and near afflictions such as anger, because the mind is completely afflicted and completely purified, they appear at that time. Temporary correspondence and so on are easy to understand. Familiar correspondence is the mind and mental factors of ordinary beings, as well as the minds and mental factors of learners and non-learners, some of which are worldly virtues, as well as the obscured and unspecified, and afflictions, because their own kind has existed from beginningless time, so they are called familiar with samsara. Unfamiliar correspondence is the mind and mental factors that transcend the world, the first moment of the forbearance of the knowledge of the suffering dharma, and as many transcendent things as arise after that, and whatever appears as suchness obtained from the transcendence of the world, these are called unfamiliar with samsara, because when dwelling in samsara, their kind has never arisen in the continuum. The term "after that" is to dispel the doubt as to whether the second moment onwards is familiar. The benefit of being skilled in correspondence is: a mere mind devoid of self, corresponding and not corresponding with feelings and so on, and afflictions such as attachment that are completely defiled, and dharmas such as faith that are completely purified, will be understood. Having understood in this way, I feel and experience the ripening of good and evil, comfort and pain, and so on. I recognize the characteristics of terms. I have a clear understanding and contemplation of virtue and so on. I remember the meaning of what I have seen and heard before. I am completely defiled by attachment and so on, and completely purified by faith and so on. Thus, I abandon obvious clinging and abide in the way of selflessness.

it will also become. Thus, after explaining the similar possession, in order to abandon attachment and aversion to prosperity and decline, it is intended to explain possession. So, what is possession? And so on. That is, it should be recognized through three aspects: nature, detailed classification, and the benefit of understanding. First, the nature of possession is, as previously stated in the context of explaining actions of having and not having, it should be recognized as being established on the stages of the rise and fall of phenomena. Alternatively, from the "Collection of Ascertainments," it says that the power to bring about conditions is called attainment. Relying on this power, in order to generate whatever phenomena beings want to manifest, arising and ceasing, it can quickly and solely bring about the conditions. Therefore, as it is said, this is also called attainment. That is, any phenomenon that is not possessed now, either in the form of a seed or in the form of manifestation, but abides in a state where it can be brought about by conditions, this is also attainment. Thus, the possession of attainment is divided into three types: possession of seed, possession of power, and possession of universal arising. Among them, temporarily for afflictive beings and some non-obstructed and unspecified phenomena such as maturation-born, and innate virtues, etc., any phenomenon that does not currently possess manifestation, but abides in a state where it can arise naturally without effort, these are called possession of seed. Virtuous dharmas arising from effort, and non-obstructed and unspecified dharmas such as crafts and emanations, are brought about through effort and abide in a state where they can arise, these are called possession of power. Phenomena such as virtues that have arisen manifestly are called possession of universal arising. Thus, there are eleven dharmas that possess seed, namely, the innate virtues of the three realms, and the afflictive and non-obstructed and unspecified maturation-born, three of each, totaling nine, plus the two types of travelers in the desire and form realms. There are seven dharmas that possess power, namely, the virtues born from effort in the three realms, and the mind of emanation in the desire realm, and the two types of crafts, and the mind of emanation in the form realm, and the uncontaminated dharmas. These added together are universally
