Because of manifestation, it is small. Because of not being well acquainted before, it is medium. Because of being well acquainted, it is large. Among these, it should be understood that with the power of small familiarity, one gradually enters into meditation and the formless realms. With the medium power, it should be understood that one enters by skipping over with a separation of one. With the great power, it should be understood that one enters as one wishes, or enters by skipping over all, entering lawfully and unlawfully. With the power of aspiration, having attained the second dhyana, one enters the first dhyana. If one wishes, one makes manifest the mind that arises from the second dhyana ground. If one wishes otherwise, if one wishes, one makes manifest the virtue of the desire realm or the unlabelled and unspecified. Similarly, apply it extensively to others as well. With the power of application, at the beginning of the virtuous entry of the desire realm, only the mind of the form realm arises at the very beginning. At the end of the invincible virtue is the main practice. At the end of that, it is the proximity of the second dhyana, and so forth, which should be understood extensively up to the peak of existence. With the power of entering into equipoise, sometimes from the mind of entering into equipoise of the pure one, sometimes the pure one himself arises. Sometimes it is an afflicted one. With the power of throwing, when arising from samadhi and wandering, as long as afflictions that are incompatible with it arise universally and have not completely deteriorated, the mind of equipoise and the mind of equipoise follow in a momentary mixture. Afflictions that are incompatible with this should be understood to arise universally with the four powers of cause and so on. Among these, with the power of cause, if it is the karmic obscuration that was previously accumulated that will completely deteriorate without being eaten by demons. With the power of object, if it is an object that is compatible with the arising of afflictions such as attachment, with an abundance of signs such as ugliness appearing. With the power of memory, with the thoughts of memory, one disturbs the past object. With the power of attention, if it is with the attention of behavior, any sign of ugliness

It is attention. By the power of connection, the nine kinds of death minds each operate in the three realms, corresponding to attachment to the body, namely in the desire realm, the form realm, and the formless realm. Among them, the death mind that dies from the desire realm and is reborn in the desire realm should be known to correspond to attachment to the body of the desire realm. The death mind that is reborn from the desire realm to the form and formless realms is also the same, and should be known to correspond to attachment to their respective bodies. Similarly, the three death minds that die from the form realm and are reborn in the three realms, and the three death minds that die from the formless realm and are reborn in the three realms, should also be treated in the same way. That death mind is extremely unclear, so it is obscured and unspecified. Ordinary people are reborn in the intermediate state by its power. For noble ones who have not yet separated from desire, as long as the mind has not become unclear, it will always arise, and after fully understanding it, they will cut it off with an antidote. For those who have separated from desire, even if they have not abandoned it, because the antidote is powerful, it will not always arise, but will be reborn by the power of habit. The moment of rebirth in the intermediate state is always obscured and unspecified, because it is a result of maturation. After that, it should be classified as good, non-good, and unspecified. The death mind of the intermediate state is always afflicted, like the existence of death. The existence of the connection of birth should always be known as obscured and unspecified. The death minds and so on of those beings who are born by the power of the aspiration of Bodhisattvas should always be known to be good. This is the explanation of the commentary. The death mind is the alaya consciousness, so it is always obscured and unspecified, so the explanation of the commentary is unreasonable. The mind consciousness at the time of death is always afflicted, and also, because it corresponds to the attachment to the body of the place where it will be born, it belongs to that place.

Such craving also belongs to the category of "grasping," one of the twelve links of dependent origination. Similarly, it is reasonable to say that the afflicted mind that possesses this transforms into nine types due to the distinctions of connecting continuity from the three realms to the three realms. The immediately preceding condition has been explained. After that, intending to explain the objective condition, it is stated, "How is it with the objective condition?" Regarding this, the objective condition that is completely determined with respect to the object is the objective condition of the five aggregates of consciousness, because those are determined in their respective objects. The objective condition that is not completely determined with respect to the object is the objective condition of the consciousness of mind, because all phenomena are its objective condition. The objective condition that does not apprehend distinctly with respect to the object is the objective condition of the consciousness of mind that is not familiar with terminology, because it cannot distinctly indicate "this is..." from the name to the thing. The objective condition that apprehends distinctly with respect to the object is the opposite of that. The objective condition of an object with substance is the objective condition of the mind and mental factors other than views, pride, and the dharmas that correspond to them. The objective condition of an object without substance is the objective condition of views, pride, and corresponding dharmas, because they focus on self, and self has no substance. The objective condition of substance is the objective condition of all others except for focusing on the uncontaminated, focusing on the realm and ground of unequal division, and focusing on the future objective condition that has not yet established a basis. The objective condition of the completely imputed is the objective condition of those that belong to the completely imputed, because they only focus on their own completely imputed. The inverted objective condition is the objective condition of the mind and mental factors that have the aspect of permanence, etc. The non-inverted objective condition is the objective condition of the mind and mental factors that have the aspect of impermanence, etc. The obstructed objective condition is the objective condition of the mind and mental factors of those who have not abandoned the obscuration of knowledge. The unobstructed objective condition is the objective condition of the mind and mental factors of those who have abandoned the obscuration of knowledge.
