Third, it is the wisdom that realizes the nature of all dharmas, which becomes the cause of complete purification together with the basis. The Sutra says: Approaching omniscience, how and how approaching omniscience, so and so will not generate a mind of desire for body, speech, mind, and characteristics. The object of great forbearance is: those such as form, which are distinguished by characteristics such as impermanence. If a great Bodhisattva practices Prajnaparamita, if he practices form because of unskilled means, then he practices characteristics. The aspect is: not relying on the characteristics of form, etc., therefore it is separated from the support, not believing through faith and attention, but realizing that it is inconceivable through the attention of reality itself. If a great Bodhisattva practices Prajnaparamita, there is no dwelling in form, especially no faith, no omniscience, etc. Second, the explanation is divided into two: First, the extensive explanation. The object of small forbearance is: form, etc. are without self-nature in the ultimate sense. All dharmas are determined to be two: characteristics and basis. The nature of the characteristics of form, etc., and the characteristics of the nature of the basis of form, etc., are of one taste in emptiness in the ultimate sense. The aspect is: in the face of beings who cling to the appearance of reality, form, etc. are not real in the ultimate sense, but only the nature of appearance in name, and realize it. The object of middle forbearance is: because there is no self-nature in the ultimate sense, form, etc. do not arise in the nature of defilement, nor do they pass into nirvana in the nature of purity. The aspect is: body, etc., with speech and mind together with the basis, in the Buddha-field, in all ways, away from the opposing side, becoming the wisdom that is the cause of complete purification. Why does it become its cause? Because the wisdom of middle forbearance only realizes that the self-nature of all dharmas is emptiness. The object of great forbearance is: form, etc., distinguished by the fact that all dharmas are without characteristics in the ultimate sense. The reason for no characteristics:

Because destructible and other self-characteristics, as well as impermanence and other general characteristics, do not exist in the ultimate sense. The aspect is: with self-nature alone, the characteristics of form and so on, the Dharma of characteristics that are separated from the support, believing in the ultimate sense, by mentally not believing in the way of general meaning, and only mentally focusing on that nature, therefore, realizing through completely knowing with the aspect of direct perception, this is called realization. Second, the summary of the meaning is: as mentioned before, there are three types: small, medium, and large, and thus it becomes forbearance. Why is it called forbearance? Because after obtaining this, one will not be reborn in the lower realms, and because attachment is without self-nature, one is not afraid of the great Dharma and believes in it. Fourth, the object and aspect of the supreme Dharma have two aspects. First, the root is: the object of the small supreme Dharma is: the forms and so on that have become the self-nature of samadhi in that very nature. The sutra is: This is the samadhi of the great Bodhisattvas, called the non-arising of all dharmas. Samadhi is included in the path truth, if the supreme Dharma is based on the four truths, then it should not be an object, if you ask. Although it is true, here, depending on the intention of the beings to be tamed, by means of samadhi, in the ultimate sense, it is shown to focus on form and so on, which are one with samadhi and emptiness of self-nature. In the great commentary, it says: This is when focusing on form and so on, which have become the self-nature of samadhi in that very nature. The aspect is: when becoming a Buddha, by the power of one's past aspirations and so on, one does not perform the samadhi of heroic conduct and so on, but acts according to the capacity of the beings to be tamed. Therefore, by means of the result, it focuses on the reality of the truth. This small supreme Dharma, for the sake of the result of the specially intended samadhi, is practiced by focusing on the truth, therefore it is called the way of the result. Medium forbearance is that the body and so on are completely purified, focusing on the truth in the way of becoming the cause, therefore it is called the way of the cause. The sutra is: With what samadhi will one experience the realm of all samadhis? That is the samadhi of heroic conduct.
