Because it is established that it is pervasive with truth. Words that show reversed meanings, their cause is that the accumulation of evils etc. all depend on humans. Therefore, the words of the Vedas are truthful, because they are not made by humans. This is said to some logicians. Knowable dharma, since it is not made by humans, how could it not be of reversed meaning? Because it is not pervasive. The reason why words are empty of true meaning is that the qualities of wisdom etc. all depend on humans. This is said by other Buddhists. After refuting with the same argument, now refuting with another line of reasoning. The Vedic words such as Agnihotra, joha, yad (藏文:ཨགྣེ་ཧོ་ཏྲ་ཛོ་ཧ་ཡད་) etc., although not made by humans, could still show reversed meanings, because the reason you understand the meaning is that the linguistic symbols of the Vedas depend on humans. If the relationship between the sound and meaning of the Vedas is not made by humans, but is a relationship of self-nature, then there is no fault. Vedic sound dharma, even without conventional knowledge, meaning can be understood from it, because you show meaning in a way that is a relationship of self-nature with the meaning you express. If from the conventionality of language, the self-nature relationship between sound and meaning is clear, then there is no fault of understanding through conventionality. Then, when understanding meaning from you, other conjectures that are a self-nature relationship with the expressed meaning will become ineffective, because even without conventionality, you can understand meaning. Furthermore, if the relationship between Vedic sound and meaning is established, then is the Vedic sound related to each meaning, or related to multiple meanings? If it is the former, then the word dharma of the Vedas, you cannot understand other meanings from it, because you are certain to express only one meaning. If it is the latter, then the meaning that you express yourself, and eating dogs etc., which contradicts pouring into the fire after reciting mantras, are also clearly expressed, because you are clearly related to multiple meanings. Furthermore, in order to prove that you are only the true meaning, you use the fact that it is not made by humans.

Therefore, thorough examination will become meaningless, because you are related to the expression of multiple meanings by the power of symbols. Now, in order to demonstrate that there is no valid means of establishing a relationship between the sound and meaning of the Vedas, the sound of the Vedas, as the subject, does not have an intrinsic connection with the meaning it expresses, because if such a connection existed, then the intrinsic connection between them would also have been established, therefore a valid reason for establishing the intrinsic connection between it and that must be stated, but there is no valid proof for establishing it. There is no valid proof for establishing it, because it is ontologically different from the meaning it expresses, and there is no causal relationship. Therefore, if you are not well-formed by a sage, then in all cases, the meaning of truth and falsehood will become meaningless, because if it is not done by a sage, it has no power to show truth and falsehood. If, in order to eliminate that fault, it is admitted that it has been well-formed by a sage, then the fault of the Vedas again becoming false in meaning remains, so this reasoning is actually like an elephant's bath, and will become a place of laughter for the wise. Furthermore, if the connection between the sound and meaning of the Vedas is established, is it permanent or impermanent? If it is permanent, then, as the subject, its connection with the meaning it expresses, such as fire, etc., is not always present, because the things that are connected, such as fire, etc., are impermanent. If it is impermanent, then it will not express the later meanings, because the connection between it and the meaning it expresses ceases together with the previous meanings it expresses. Therefore, the sound of the Vedas, as the subject, the connection between it and the meaning it expresses is merely something that has been well fabricated by the wisdom of a sage, but it is not actually established, because it only appears in the mind, and is not established as either permanent or impermanent in reality. If the connection between the sound and meaning of the Vedas arises together with the later meaning it expresses, so there is no fault, then, for the sounds of the Vedas, as the subject, it is unreasonable to transform from existing in a nature that was previously unrelated to the later meaning it expresses, and then later become related, because it is permanent. Therefore, the connection between sound and meaning is merely fabricated by wisdom.
