Because, there is no object that is not of mind and mental factors. That is, the six objects from form to dharma are, in order, the objective conditions of each of the six consciousnesses from eye consciousness to mind consciousness. The fourth is the dominant condition, which is the cause of action previously described as "the cause of action other than oneself" is the dominant condition. For example, the senses generate sense consciousness, and so on. So, what is the difference between cause and condition? That which causes the non-common nature of the result to arise is the cause, and that which causes the common difference with others is the cause and condition. For example, the nature of the sprout is produced by the seed, and the differences such as blue and good or bad are produced by water, fertilizer, and so on. Third, explaining dependent origination. It is divided into two types: the dependent origination of cyclic existence and the dependent origination of purification. First, the dependent origination of cyclic existence. Briefly speaking, all parts of the cause and effect of samsara are called dependent origination. If divided, there are twelve links from ignorance to old age and death. Second, explaining in detail, divided into five parts, the first part explaining the cause-and-effect relationship. Briefly speaking, all twelve links can be divided into the cause that propels, the result that is propelled, the cause that accomplishes, and the result that is accomplished. Among them, ignorance, action, and consciousness are the causes that propel rebirth, because relying on ignorance, the consciousness of action is stained with the habit of accomplishing rebirth, and thus is propelled. Craving, grasping, and existence are the causes that accomplish the propelled rebirth, where craving is the attachment of clinging to the feeling of pleasure and pain, relying on it, desire for future aggregates arises, and the grasping that increases the craving corresponding to it, thereby accomplishing the powerful karmic force called existence, which manifests towards the production of rebirth. The four between name and form and feeling are the results that are propelled, because they are the nature of maturation. Among them, name and form are what accomplish the nature of rebirth, after name and form are formed in the womb, rebirth is

Therefore, it is established. The completion of establishment refers to the six sense sources, because when the sense sources such as the eyes are complete, the body is completely complete. It enjoys the object, which is contact. When the object, faculty, and consciousness gather as cause and effect, it is called the faculty enjoying the object. The result of contact is feeling, and from the contact that completely determines whether the object is pleasing or not, feelings of pleasure and pain arise. From feelings associated with ignorance, craving arises, and from that, grasping. From that, existence increases. These produce birth, which is the projection of the six sense sources in another life, and the transformation of those six sense sources themselves into other states is aging, and the destruction of continuity is death. Because there is death even without aging, the two are made into one limb. Therefore, birth and aging and death are the manifestly established results. Second, the limbs are briefly summarized: If these twelve limbs are briefly summarized, they become three kinds of afflictions. Namely: ignorance, craving, and grasping are the all-pervasive afflictions of affliction, because the mind is extremely unpeaceful and completely torments. Action is karma itself, and existence is also the power of karma becoming strong, therefore it is called the all-pervasive affliction of karma. The remaining seven limbs are the results of those karmic afflictions, which are suffering, therefore they are called the all-pervasive affliction of birth. It is also said: Three afflictions, two karmas, seven bases, thus are the results. Third, identifying the nature of each limb: What is contrary to intelligence and wisdom is ignorance. As it is said: Different kinds of contradictory dharmas, like unfriendly, untrue, etc. Similarly, there are two types of ignorance: afflicted ignorance, which is ignorance of suchness, and non-afflicted ignorance, which is ignorance of knowable objects. Here, the former is taken. Action is merit, non-merit, and unwavering karma. Among them, merit is virtuous karma performed in the desire realm, non-merit is sinful karma, and unwavering karma is the karma of the upper realms. Indeterminate is unrelated, indeterminate is rebirth.
