This omnipresence is considered the power of knowing death and birth. The tenth, the power of knowing the exhaustion of defilements, is: With the swiftness of the all-knowing power, the defilements of the Buddhas, along with their habitual tendencies, will be destroyed, and whatever disciples and others prevent defilements with wisdom, to that, the knowledge of unattached and limitless power. The defilements such as desire of the Buddhas, along with their habitual tendencies, will be destroyed and abandoned, while the disciples, Hearers and Solitary Buddhas have not abandoned the subtle habitual tendencies of defilements. For example, even if defilements are abandoned, because there are habitual tendencies, the Arhat who was previously a monkey will jump and walk, and the one who was previously a Brahmin will speak vulgar behavior of low-caste women, even if the Blessed One prevents it, it will not change. Therefore, whatever prevents and abandons the combination of defilements and habitual tendencies with wisdom, to that, whatever knowledge enters without attachment and obstruction, that is called the power of knowing the exhaustion of defilements. Second, showing that ordinary people have transcended praising virtues. Only the Buddha can completely determine all the differences in the virtues of the Buddhas, the Blessed Ones. If said, even if life is blessed for countless inconceivable eons, and without possessing other activities, speaking swiftly, it will not be completely fulfilled. Not to mention Bodhisattvas, not to mention whether Hearers and Solitary Buddhas can know or praise the ultimate virtues of the Buddha. Showing that meaning through metaphor: Without space, birds will not return, but here, they return because their own strength is exhausted. Similarly, disciples and sons of the Buddhas, the virtues of the Buddha are as limitless as space, they will return without speaking. The king of birds, flying in the sky, suppressing the other with the wind force of wide wings, even if obtained, will not return because there is no space, but will return because his own strength is exhausted. Similarly, those sons of the Buddhas who have attained inconceivable liberation will also be unable to praise the virtues of the Tathagata because their own intellectual power is exhausted, therefore virtues

If it were not for completely transcending the boundless realms like space, what need is there to mention the ultimate qualities of the disciples, the Hearers and Solitary Buddhas? Since even the noble ones abiding in the stainless grounds cannot fully comprehend, from where did you obtain these expositions that you have made, starting from the qualities of the Thus-Gone One? Therefore, even if someone like me knows your qualities, they cannot fully express them. However, because the noble Nagarjuna has already explained them, I will cast aside doubts and speak a little. Because it takes many ages to fully know and express the qualities of the Buddha, therefore, O Bhagavan, even a small part of your qualities cannot be fully known or expressed by those like us who are blinded by the darkness of ignorance. However, these expositions that we have made, starting from the qualities of the Buddha, are following the teachings of the noble Nagarjuna, and speaking a little about the qualities of the Buddha without any doubt or hesitation. Briefly explaining the necessity of the treatise. Now, in order to briefly explain the subject matter and necessity of the treatise, I will explain: Profound is emptiness, while other qualities are vast. By understanding the nature of profound and vast, these qualities will be attained. In short, this treatise explains the two natures of profound and vast. Among them, profound is emptiness, the two selflessnesses of person and phenomena, because these are difficult to realize. The other qualities of the stages of cause and effect, as previously explained, are vast, because they are difficult to measure. Whoever understands the nature of profound and vast and studies them accordingly will easily attain these qualities. Third, regarding the Emanation Body, it explains the way the Teacher appears, gathering the teachings into one vehicle, and showing the time of manifest enlightenment and abiding. First, explaining from the first aspect: You have transcended the three realms of existence, and from the unmoving body, you again emanate, showing passing away, birth, enlightenment, and the wheel of peace. In this way, you use the wavering net of the world to...
