It is not that it and others are inexpressible, just as from the aspect of form, mind and others are inexpressible. Therefore, if I become real, just like mind, from the aspect of form and so on, it will not become the inexpressible it and others. Second, just as the entity of a pot, from the aspect of form and so on, becomes without self-nature because it is inexpressible. I also become inexpressible from the aspect of the aggregates, so do not think that it exists by its own nature. Just as a pot, from the aspect of its own collection of form and so on, is without self-nature because it is inexpressible as it and others, so also, if I am inexpressible as it and others from the aspect of the aggregates, do not think that it exists by its own nature, but should know that it is merely imputed. Third, consciousness is truly existent, not other than itself, and wants to become other than form and so on. Because those two aspects are seen in things, I do not exist, because I am separated from the dharma of things. Just as consciousness is truly existent, not other than itself, and just as it becomes other than form and so on, because those two aspects of it and others are seen in things. Therefore, your self does not exist, because it is separated from the dharma of things, like the son of a barren woman. Second, the conclusion of refutation is: Therefore, the basis of self-grasping is not a thing. It is not other than the aggregates, not the nature of the aggregates. It is not dependent on the aggregates, and this is not related to it. Because if one examines in that way, a person cannot be truly existent, therefore, the basis or object of self-grasping, if examined, is not truly existent, nor is it other than the aggregates, nor is it the nature or not of the aggregates. Nor is it dependent on the aggregates, and I cannot be related to the aggregates. Showing that a person is interdependent. Having thus refuted the truly existent self, showing that a person is interdependent, there are two parts: things and establishing it through examples. The first part is: If a person is refuted by various kinds of reasoning, does the word "person" not exist in all aspects? No. Here, it will be established by relying on the aggregates. Just like "this arises by relying on this," just this is to establish conventional truth without interruption.

Just as it does not arise from causes such as the absence of acceptance, here too, having eliminated the person with inherent existence who possesses the faults mentioned earlier, it should be accepted that only this designation of a person imputed in dependence on the aggregates exists in the world, because one sees the designation imputed as self or person. Second, to establish it by example, there are two aspects: the actual example and the meaning it represents. First, there are two aspects: brief indication and extensive explanation. First, brief indication: In order to establish that the self is merely imputed, in order to clarify the meaning as previously stated, the example of the outsiders is shown. rathaḥ svāvayavebhyo na bhinno na bhinno na teṣv asau vidyate 'vayavā na tatrāśritāḥ. na saṃghātamātraṃ na cākāramātraṃ yathāpūrvam. This chariot is not different from its own limbs, such as nails and spokes, because it is not seen separately from them. Nor is it non-different, because each of those limbs does not have a chariot. Nor does it possess those limbs, because it is non-dual with it, so there is no meaning of possessing. The chariot does not rely on those limbs, nor do the limbs rely on that chariot, because there is no difference. Second, extensive explanation, divided into refuting the aspect of accumulation and refuting the aspect of shape. First: If only accumulation becomes a chariot, then even in a scattered state there should be a chariot. If only the accumulation of limbs is a chariot, then accumulation is not different from merely accumulation, so even in the scattered state of limbs such as nails there should be a chariot. Furthermore, it is said, "Because there is no possessor of limbs, there are no limbs," because there is no possessor of limbs, the limbs do not exist, because they are established in dependence on each other. One also admits that there is no possessor of limbs. Therefore, what kind of accumulation of limbs would become a chariot? Second, refuting the aspect of shape: Merely shape is also not reasonable to become a chariot. It is said "also" because not only is the accumulation of limbs not reasonable to become a chariot, but also there is no possessor of limbs, and the limbs do not exist, so merely the shape of the accumulation of limbs is also not reasonable to become a chariot. Furthermore, if shape
