Furthermore, the teaching arises from skillful means. By abiding in conventional truth, it reveals the ultimate truth, and liberation is attained through understanding the ultimate truth. As the scriptures say: Without relying on conventional truth, one cannot realize the ultimate truth; without realizing the ultimate truth, one cannot attain nirvana. Thus it is said. Therefore, those who do not correctly distinguish the difference between the two truths, such as the Mind-Only school, enter the wrong path due to their inverted conceptualizations, because they deviate from the two paths pleasing to the Buddha. How do we know that these two truths are the path pleasing to the Buddha? Because after the Tathagata attained perfect enlightenment, he intended to lead beings to be tamed onto the path he himself practiced, and taught the Dharma through the gateway of these two truths. As it is said in the Samadhi Sutra of the Definitive Exposition of the Holy Reality: The Knower of the World, without having heard it from others, teaches only through these two truths. Whatever is conventional is also ultimate; there is no third truth. Beings will develop faith in the Sugata for the sake of happiness. The Victorious One teaches the conventional truth for the sake of beings, for the benefit of the world. The six realms of beings that are taught are the beings in hell, animals, hungry ghosts, as well as asuras, humans, and gods. The Lion among Men established the conventional truth. Low castes and high castes, wealthy families and poor families, groups of slaves and groups of servants, groups of women and groups of men and hermaphrodites, whatever differences there may be among beings, the incomparable You have shown to the world. Having understood the conventional truth, the Knower of the World revealed it to people. Beings who delight in this, in samsara, will fall into the eight worldly concerns: gain and loss, pleasure and displeasure, praise and blame, happiness and suffering. When gain is obtained, attachment arises; when it is not obtained, one becomes agitated. Other ways have not been shown.

Should be known. Eight diseases will cut off its continuation. Those who speak of the conventional truth as the ultimate truth, should be known as those with erroneous views. Considering the impure as pure, considering suffering as happiness, considering the selfless nature as self, and saying that impermanent dharmas are permanent, those who rejoice in this way and abide in characteristics, after hearing the words of the Tathagata, they are afraid and abandon unreal thoughts. After abandoning the words of the Tathagata, sentient beings experience unbearable suffering in hell. Although they seek unlawful happiness, children will experience hundreds of sufferings. Whoever, even with unawakened wisdom, can properly distinguish the teachings that benefit the world, like discarding an old snake skin, completely transcends all existence and attains peace. All these dharmas are empty in nature, emptiness and signlessness are the ultimate truth, whoever hears this and rejoices, they will attain unsurpassed Bodhi. Victorious One, you see the aggregates as empty, the elements and sense bases are also the same, the city of the senses is empty of characteristics, everything is seen as such by you, the Able One. Thus it is said. The summarized meaning of this sutra should be understood by two things, namely: the general exposition of the two truths, and the detailed explanation of their respective natures. The first is the verse beginning with "Knower of the world". The second is further divided into: detailed explanation of the conventional truth, which is further divided into three points: the necessity of expounding the conventional truth, the nature of the conventional truth to be expounded, and the faults of being attached to it. The first point is the verse beginning with "Whoever, with the Sugata". The second is further divided into: what is expounded, and from what cause it is expounded. The first point is from "Sentient beings" to "Unequaled One". The second point is the two lines "Having understood the conventional truth, the wise". The faults of being attached to the conventional truth are further divided into: the faults of entering into worldly dharmas, and the faults of abandoning transcendental dharmas. The first point is from "Rejoicing in this" to "Eight diseases". The second point is from "Considering the conventional truth" to "suffering"
