That is because it exists. If it is insisted that taking vows makes some difference to that Dharma, but that difference is newly produced without previously existing, then it becomes impossible for the future fruit to exist. Furthermore, according to whose view it is admitted that all conditioned things are impermanent, according to that view, impermanence is not mistaken for the three times, if all things are impermanent, then how can it be said that the fruit has existed from the beginning? Because impermanence and existing from the beginning are mutually contradictory. Like this, that which has a beginning without any other thing before it, and an end without any other thing after it, is what the world calls impermanent. Secondly, some schools see faults in saying that the future exists, and therefore say that future things do not exist, according to those schools, it would follow that there is no need to strive to generate the noble path in order to avert future afflictions and births, because future afflictions and births are not things. For example, the liberated Arhats do not have future afflictions and births destroyed by the power of the noble path, so here there is no need to strive for liberation. Not only is there liberation without effort, but if the future does not exist in that way, then it would be unreasonable to say "consciousness arises", because the consciousness that is going to arise itself does not exist, and therefore without a basis, the action of arising does not occur. If consciousness does not arise, then the clinging, which is the basis of desire, will not arise, and if that clinging does not arise, then the desire that depends on it will arise without a cause, and if desire is not without a cause, then even Arhats would have desire arise. Again, the word "again" indicates whether desire arises without clinging, or whether the future does not exist? This is the meaning of distinguishing. Thirdly, the Samkhya school believes that only the existing fruit arises, because the non-existent cannot be produced, and the nature of the fruit's potential exists in the cause, and potential produces potential, so everything will arise from everything. The Vaibhashikas, fearing the fault of arising from what has not arisen from its own nature, think that it exists in all three times, and

Even the collection is only a temporary fruit, not a substantial fruit. The substance of its own nature that exists in all three times is only a temporary state produced by the aggregation of causes and conditions, and it does not produce a substance that did not exist before, I think. In this way, if, like the Samkhya and Vaisheshika schools, one believes that the fruit exists, then setting up pillars for the sake of the house, and special decorations such as decorations on the door and birds, will become meaningless, because the fruit is the house. If it is said that making the house beautiful with decorations, etc., can achieve other purposes, then, since new special things that did not exist before can be produced, it will be necessary to abandon the saying that the fruit exists. Those who believe that the fruit does not exist are the Vaisheshika, Sautrantika, and Vijnanavada schools. They think that it is meaningless for the fruit to already exist and be produced, and only think that what is produced is non-existent. According to their view, decorating pillars, etc., for the sake of the house will also become meaningless, because the fruit is not the house. No one can accomplish what does not exist, like the son of a barren woman. Just as saying that the fruit exists or does not exist will produce the above-mentioned faults, the internal and external objects, such as sprouts and actions, etc., their causes, such as seeds and ignorance, etc., will also become meaningless. If, like those of us who advocate emptiness of self-nature, since we do not admit that existence and non-existence are the nature of things, there is no chance of making mistakes, and everything can be established. The production of anything does not exist before it is produced, because production is meaningless; but it is not non-existent either, because it is produced depending on the aggregation of causes and conditions. Therefore, the wise should abandon the two extremes and admit dependent origination. This is also just an admission made to conform to the views of the world, based on what is commonly accepted in the world. The Madhyamaka Svātantrika school does not admit dependent origination, as it is said in the Madhyamakavatara: "As you admit other things, I also have no conventional truth, for the sake of accomplishing them, I say there is worldly speech." Because it is said so, and in order to establish the dependent origination of the Madhyamaka
