Moreover, it must be admitted that other directions, such as the setting sun in the sky, are also very clear. If this is the case, then the sky itself will become multiple and not all-pervasive. Thirdly, those who assert time as a cause say: If something exists as a cause, then fruits such as sprouts will appear at some time; even if there are causes and conditions, but due to the lack of certain conditions, they will also disappear at some time, from which it can be inferred that time exists. If time exists, but the cause is not obvious, so it is permanent, then sprouts and so on, which arise from permanent time, will always arise, because the cause is always present. If the ability of time to produce fruit depends on other conditions, then that time is controlled by other conditions, because its nature of producing fruit changes according to the presence or absence of other conditions. Because this is the case, if time is permanent, then the fruit will also be permanent; because it is a fruit, it will be impermanent like a pot and so on. Furthermore, when those who assert time acknowledge that time is the cause of the movement of things, they are actually acknowledging the fruit as well. Just as, observing the emergence of a fruit, one determines that this is its cause. If the fruit is not seen, then seeds and other causes are not called causes. Therefore, determining the cause as dependent on the fruit, then the cause will necessarily become the fruit itself, and even if it is a fruit, it will not be permanent like sprouts and so on. If time becomes the cause of the movement of various things, then time must change from a state of not acting on the fruit to a state of helping the fruit. In the world, we see that when causes such as seeds change from their previous state, they become the cause of other fruits such as sprouts; a cause that has not changed does not become another cause. Anything that has a change from its previous state cannot be called permanent, therefore time should not be permanent. If it is admitted that time does not change, then the resulting thing produced by the unchanging, permanent time, its cause

It is not born from what does not arise from cause, but arises independently of cause. For example, the various kinds of fruits are impermanent, and time is permanent, so it changes into something else. That which is other also occurs together without touching each other, like a cow and a horse. Therefore, if the fruit itself arises without depending on the cause, then the assertion that time is the cause is wrong, because it does not perform any function of a cause. From this, time cannot be the cause, because how can the fruit born from the permanent time, which is the cause, become impermanent? In the world, it has never been seen that the cause and the fruit are two, one permanent and one impermanent, with different characteristics. The fourth view is that the atomists say: the atoms of the four elements, such as earth, are permanent, and they are driven by invisible karma, and by combining with two or more atoms, they gradually form substances with limbs, and finally produce various fruits. This is also unreasonable. For example, if atoms combine with each other to produce fruit, do they combine with all of themselves or with some parts? If they combine with some parts, then the part that combines becomes the cause of the fruit, and the part that does not combine does not become the cause. If some part of the atom that combines is the cause, and some part that does not combine is not the cause, then that atom becomes the nature of various or many kinds of combination and non-combination, being the cause and not being the cause. Whatever is various cannot be permanent, like a picture, etc. If it is said that atoms have no parts, so they combine with all of themselves, then the round shape of the atom without parts will also exist in the substance of the fruit with limbs, because atoms are by nature mixed with all parts of each other. In this way, like atoms, substances with limbs will also become beyond the scope of the senses. Because the faults mentioned above will occur, if the round shape of the atom as the cause does not exist in the substance of the fruit with limbs, then combining with all of oneself is unreasonable for atoms. Also, when
