Therefore, they believe that Sravakas and Pratyekabuddhas do not have ultimate Nirvana. Even those Sravakas and Pratyekabuddha Arhats who have attained the Nirvana without remainder are urged by the rays of the Tathagata, awakened from the stainless Samadhi, generate Bodhicitta, and are told to study the Mahayana path. Regarding the Nirvana without remainder of Sravakas and Pratyekabuddhas, the views of Madhyamaka and Yogacara differ. The Yogacara school believes that Sravakas and Pratyekabuddha Arhats abandon the conditioned activities of this life and regard it as the nature of Suchness, which is the quiescence of conditioned existence. If asked which of the three natures this is, there are two views on this, those of the Yogacara and Madhyamaka schools. The Yogacara school believes that, for example, a magician, through the power of mantras and substances, makes the basis of illusion, such as lumps of clay, appear as horses and cattle. Similarly, the other-powered nature of unreal conceptualization, due to the influence of beginningless habitual tendencies resembling magic mantras, appears as the two selves of the person and the dharma, resembling magic horses and cattle. Therefore, the mind and mental factors included in the three realms are either born from other causes and conditions, or appear perversely due to the influence of habitual tendencies, and are therefore also called other-powered. Because it is abandoned by meditation, it is also called all-afflictive. Because it appears as not being as it is, it is also called unreal conceptualization. On the object of the other-powered, clinging to the self of the person, such as the eater and the doer, and clinging to the self of the dharma, believing in the truth of the grasper and the grasped, are called the completely imputed, and also called conventional. As many other-powered natures as there are, so many are the person and dharma selves just mentioned, the Suchness that is primordially empty, is the perfectly established, which is established from the beginning. Because it does not change at any time, it is Suchness. Because it is not inverted, it is the ultimate truth. Because it has become the object of the wisdom of the noble ones, it is the ultimate meaning. Because the elaboration is pacified, it is without characteristics. The other-powered is the object of the pure mundane world attained by the noble ones, the completely imputed is the object of the minds of children, and the perfectly established is the object of the non-conceptual equipoise of the noble ones. Like the emptiness previously explained.
