砍掉像乌鸦头一样傲慢的头颅吧！此外，在依怙主本尊面前立下这些誓言：以莲花花蕊之尘供养双足者，梵天、帝释天、遍入天等，世间傲慢者以头顶恭敬顶戴者，我礼敬观世音怙主！听闻虽多，心却散乱于其他事物；领受百法，却沾染罪堕污垢；具知者，慈悲之神，请您稍稍垂念我这修行者的誓言。无论住在哪里，如果增长贪恋，以名闻利养之索束缚自身，又以嫉妒竞争之心打击他人，我连一刹那也不会住在那里。从今以后，直至生命终结，我将如犀牛角般，恒常住在雪山、山谷、森林之中，不住在城镇和人群之中。绝不为八法所动摇。在心中尚未获得稳固之前，除了唯一调伏自心之外，不以利他之方便损害自利。除了三法衣和钵之外，除了维持自身生活的必需品之外，对于黄金和财物等剩余之物，我连芝麻大小也不会持有。绝不谈论他人的过失，除了具有意义且符合佛法之外，对于战争、盗贼、国王的故事等，绝不进行虚妄的闲聊。为了佛法，我将忍受艰难困苦，舍弃世间，追求解脱。不供养超过四个与自己志同道合、少欲知足的追随者。如果我违背了这些誓言，愿诸佛菩萨和慈悲之主观世音怙主，将我与狗、猪、羊、驴等同看待。您也要将我所说之话铭记于心，如法修持。即使我死了，也没有其他的遗嘱；即使相遇，也没有其他的话要说。如是说。专注于寂静之处的方式是：我之所以专注于寂静之处，并非因为眷属和朋友使我厌烦，也不是因为贪图名闻利养，而是因为轮回的痛苦如同火坑一般。

Cut off the arrogant head like a crow's head! Furthermore, make these vows before the Yidam deity: To those whose feet are offered with lotus stamen dust, Brahma, Indra, Vishnu, and others, those who are respectfully crowned by the arrogant of the world, I prostrate to Avalokiteśvara, the protector! Although much is heard, the mind is distracted by other things; though hundreds of laws are received, they are stained with the defilement of transgressions; O compassionate deity with knowledge, please consider for a moment these borrowed vows of mine, the practitioner. Wherever I dwell, if attachment increases, binding myself with the ropes of fame and gain, and striking others with jealousy and competitiveness, I will not dwell there even for a moment. From this day forth, until the end of my life, I will always dwell like a rhinoceros horn in the snow mountains, valleys, and forests, and will not dwell in towns and crowds. I will never be swayed by the eight worldly concerns. Until stability is attained in my mind, other than solely taming my own mind, I will not harm my own benefit through the means of benefiting others. Other than the three Dharma robes and the alms bowl, other than the necessities for sustaining my own life, I will not hold even a sesame seed's worth of gold and wealth for my own sake. I will never speak of the faults of others, and other than what is meaningful and in accordance with the Dharma, I will never engage in false chatter about wars, thieves, and the stories of kings. For the sake of the Dharma, I will endure hardships and renounce the world, seeking liberation. I will not support more than four followers who are like-minded, content, and have few desires. If I violate these borrowed vows, may the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, and the compassionate Lord Avalokiteśvara, equate me with dogs, pigs, sheep, and donkeys. You too, keep in mind what I have said and practice accordingly. Even if I die, there is no other testament; even if we meet, there is nothing else to say. Thus he spoke. The way to focus on solitude is: The reason why I focus on solitude is not because I am annoyed by retinues and friends, nor because I desire fame and gain, but because the suffering of samsara is like a pit of fire.

Because I see the suffering as extremely unbearable, and because the solitary place, the lotus grove, praised in many ways by the Bhagavan, also appears very desirable. It is like this: To the one who has no fault, not even a speck, who is supremely majestic with the glory of wondrous qualities, whose banner of fame waves in the three realms, to the Thubwang, the god of gods, I pay homage! Listen, wise friends! The sun of the teachings has set on the peak of the western mountain. The movement of body and life is like the flow of a river. Those who desire liberation should act with mindfulness. The wheel-turning king, who possesses the seven precious things, rules over the four great continents, enjoys immeasurable life, practices the glory of the ten virtues, and enjoys the bliss of perfect prosperity, is also like a tree by the water. Having long resided on the summit of Mount Meru, enjoying the splendor of joy and happiness in the grove of gatherings, the one with a thousand eyes who seizes, who is respectfully bowed to by the assembly of immortal powers, is also a slave of existence. Having long abandoned the striking of physical and mental pain, passing many eons with the bliss of samadhi, the father of the world, even the one with the golden drum, is far from the state of immortality. Whatever it touches, even the most stable Mount Meru, is reduced to ashes in an instant. Who can endure the suffering of hell, with its chain of flames and intensely burning body? Merely by looking, it dries up the flow of the great wind and causes trees to be without fruit. The form of a preta, like the dry top of a palm tree, whatever one sees is a terrifying abyss. The darkness of ignorance, which confuses what to accept and reject, the sparks of stone that eat each other, and the constant rain of filth that falls on the body, who can endure the suffering of the various animals? The perfections of existence are so insignificant, and because they are full of many faults, in order to liberate myself and others from the ocean of existence, I, who have heard much, will go to a solitary place. Just as a rain-dwelling insect hears the sound of thunder, the words of the solitary place fall upon my heart.
