And practitioners. May you protect everyone like a son, Samaya! Thus, the author is Karma A-ra-ga. I am an ignorant person controlled by ordinary beings, For meanings that are reversed, meanings that contradict, things that should be hidden but are openly stated, etc., All the faults that arise from composing this, I confess to all those who possess the Dharma eye of wise and accomplished ones, and to the root three Dharma protectors and guardians. May this not become an obstacle or adverse condition in this life, And may it not become a long-lasting obscuration. The writing teacher Karma Chakme, And taking on the labor of proofreading and writing, The student Rupa Tsondu Gyatso, And the beings connected to those two, And all beings who see, hear, and are connected to this Dharma (19), May they have long life, be free from illness, and increase their experience and realization in this life. When they pass away, in other rebirths, Without interruption, in the Sukhavati pure land, May they be born miraculously, see the face of the lineage lord, Until they attain the unsurpassed perfect enlightenment, May the teachers, disciples, and Dharma friends never be separated, May they practice the vast conduct of Bodhisattvas. In short, myself, the students, and the lineage, All those who are connected to this Mountain Dharma, From this life to all lifetimes, May their lifespan and miraculous powers be like those of Padmasambhava. May they benefit beings like Avalokiteshvara. May they have wisdom like Manjushri. May they have power and strength like the Lord of Secrets. All those who are connected to this Mountain Dharma, May they realize the Dharmakaya of their own mind directly, May the auspiciousness of the Kagyu lamas arise. May their own body mandala (20) be clearly manifest, May the auspiciousness of the Yidam deities arise. May they be close to the assembly of monks, May the auspiciousness of the sixteen Arhats arise. May their activities be spontaneously accomplished, and their teachings be boundless, May the auspiciousness of Mahakala, Mamaki, and the sister protectors arise. May the Dharma lineage be long like a river, May the auspiciousness of the five long-life sisters arise. May their swift activities flash like lightning, May the auspiciousness of the great beings arise.

Named "Trus Gyatso," he repeatedly arrived at the cave entrance, in the manner of requesting. The requester himself acted as the scribe. Starting from the twenty-second day of the sixth month of the Fire Male Horse year, symbolizing the glorious Great Red Hayagriva (21), continuing on. In the month of the Fire Female Pig, symbolizing the Great Mother Red Vajravarahi. On the morning of the fifth day of the waxing moon, symbolizing the Five Deities, the mountain Dharma treatise was completely finished. Colophon, first chapter. Mangalam. Ka. From the oral instructions of the Mountain Dharma Retreat. The treatise called "Topic: Seeing and Smiling" is presented. Namo Ratna Guru Ye. Homage to the precious guru). Of the oral instructions of the Mountain Dharma Retreat. The meaning of the topic, the creation of causes and conditions. Briefly recorded in verses. The author who desires to be learned. The ritualist who desires to be good. The house builder who is attached to permanence. The retinue gatherer who is attached to closeness. The affair manager who desires wealth. The retreat practitioner who fears death. That person named "Raga Asya". Before the four wise and accomplished lamas. Offered the vow of single-pointed practice. To many great patrons (22). Made empty promises of doing life-extending retreats. Horses and livestock were placed in the mountains. Inside a small house behind the village. Carefully performing exorcism and dispelling obstacles, fearing illness and death. While secretly killing and sleeping. All twelve months were seen. A person of good lineage, intelligent, and wise. Possessing faith, respect, and diligence. That lama, Trus Gyatso. Arrived at the base of the cave entrance of the retreat house. I am considered to have died of illness this year. Tormented by severe pain. Unable to bear the suffering due to the realization of pain. If the suffering of illness is like this. When the Lord of Death, Yama, appears. There is a fear of losing realization. Because of the compassion of the Three Jewels, I have not died. I must make use of this illusory body. Although there is no way to be immortal. Even if I die, there will be no regrets. I wonder if the retreat and practice will be successful. There is a solitary mountain retreat for practice. But because I do not understand geomancy. I cannot decide whether it is suitable to stay. Although I have received many empowerments, transmissions, and instructions. Even if the understanding of the generation stage and completion stage is deep (23). There is no progress in practice, no experience. I want to only go to the mountain retreat to practice. But I have not received the instructions of the Mountain Dharma. Although there are some Mountain Dharma books written by the previous Kagyu masters. I have not even received the lineage transmission. It is also difficult to put into practice.
