Though hell is bitter, it eventually ends. Therefore, it is called cyclic existence with an end (83). Those who do not take vows and engage in non-virtue will never be liberated from the state of cyclic existence. Therefore, it is called cyclic existence without end. This is because the ultimate Dharma and its meaning are the same; it is said that great is the fault of not attaining realization. Even if an old champaka flower is old, it is not comparable to ordinary flowers. Even if my Shravakas are evil, they are not to be reviled by ordinary people. Thus spoke the Bhagavan, the Able One. In the future, when the teachings of the Able One are in danger, all garments with red and yellow colors will be collected by the gods and taken as objects of faith. They will build stupas on the summit of Mount Meru and make offerings. When the teachings have declined, the dye of the robes will no longer be effective. This meaning is clearly explained in the Jataka tales and other sutras. Therefore, having sought refuge in the Sangha, it is said that one must respect all those who wear yellow robes. Ngok Lotsawa Chenpo, an emanation of Manjushri (84), took out yellow cloth pieces from the seams of his old cushion that he used for wiping, and said: In the lineage of those who wear such robes, there is no one without some kind of quality. And he placed the cloth pieces inside his hat. My supreme guide, the Lord of Dharma, would roll up the assembly's cushion and place it on his head. He would shake the dust off the cushion and place it on his tongue. He would always prostrate to the assembly whenever he arrived. When leaving, he would not show his back and would walk backwards. If one were to carefully consider these meanings, one should not find fault with others, abandon wrong views, scolding, and insults towards all those who wear yellow robes without sectarianism. One should regard everyone as the Sangha, the object of refuge. By doing so, one will obtain immeasurable merit. One should not be content with being ordained, and one should not harbor such thoughts. We want to go from happiness to happiness, how can we be satisfied with just having endless cyclic existence? Even if one has a pure view (85), if one's conduct is deficient in the subtle precepts of discipline, and one does not perform confession, purification, and taking vows, then one will be reborn as a Naga. This is clearly explained in the Sutra Requested by the Naga King of the Ocean. If one is reborn as a Naga, one will harm others, and suffer from leprosy, sandstorms, rain, sunshine, royal punishments, Garuda's fear, etc. How can one endure these sufferings? Now everyone trusts and regards them as practitioners, but at the time of death, they are reborn as the retinue of Naga demons.
