One! Furthermore, one who is alive and diligent, Likes fame and dislikes bad reputation, The eight worldly dharmas are two kinds. To oneself, with learning and realization, Even if one does not possess praiseworthy qualities, But patrons and other foolish believers, Many say (he is) the Buddha of the three times. Some say (he is) an accomplished one. Even though one does not know when one will die, One is praised by others as having clairvoyance. Even pieces of clothing, hair, nails, and bathwater, Many believers take and drink. Tribe leaders, scribe leaders, local leaders, and, Reincarnated lamas, Geshes, officials, etc., Those who consider themselves high-ranking and arrogant, Many prostrate and request empowerment and Dharma. Groups from various places who do not know the situation, Echo others' words and blindly follow, saying that person is good. At that time, self-righteous arrogance arises. Everyone is very respectful, And one (633) thinks that one is also good. Fame is the demon of the son of the gods, If arrogance arises, it obstructs the path to liberation. Fame is like the echo of a cliff, Transform it into the realm of viewing emptiness. When sitting on a high throne, And great people and great lamas prostrate, It is the greatness of Dharma and empowerment. I sit on a high throne, How could others be worthy to prostrate to me? Even when doing empowerments and other things, The Dharma is offered like a mandala. Wanting to be a lama, abandoning the thought of being a lama, This is taking fame onto the path. Similarly, when one has no faults, Groundlessly scolding and slandering, saying (he is) a false deceiver, So-and-so's son and so-and-so's mother's son, saying this, revealing the shortcomings of the lineage, Deceiving men and deceiving women, Even tooth stains and eye mucus are said to be, saying (he) has gathered the essence of the village in this life. Only angry to seize one's own property. When transmitting empowerment and pith instructions, saying he is baseless, a lie. If recording pith instructions, secretly transmitting (634), saying (he) is self-made, deceiving with lies. If sickness is healed, spirits are pacified, and there is help, saying (he) has opened the ghost's feeding mouth. Whether speaking good or bad, as long as there is obstruction, saying it is the mischief of the local deity. If the Dharma activities are vast, saying (he) has controlling evil mantras. When hearing these bad sounds, Why be angry at someone without fault? I have never spoken a lie, I have never done harmful things. If faithful disciples appear, Why are they so stingy? If the mind is rough and unhappy like a shoe, Look at its nature

Let the mind rest. Meditate on loving-kindness and compassion, and the practice of giving and receiving. When you have done wrong, you yourself suffer. When you have not done wrong, but hear many slanderous and evil words, it is the sweeping away of your defilements with a broom. I eliminate my defilements, but they do it meaninglessly, contemplate that there is nothing to be unhappy about, but rather it will be better. Thus, when the two, pleasant and unpleasant, are of equal taste in the state of realization, the great equal taste is there. Giving (635) will bring greatness. Pleasant and unpleasant are worldly dharmas, it is a chapter of the song of equal taste, this is the twelfth chapter. Living and Karma Tsering Tröndru, by keeping their own desires in their hearts, there will be no altruistic actions that accord with meaning. From the heart, without selfish desires, placing beings in the state of Buddhahood, if the calculation of cultivating good intention is completed, just as iron touched by alchemy turns into gold, whatever you do will go towards the path of enlightenment. Most non-virtue will turn into virtue. Just as when crops grow very well, chaff also comes along, not thinking of oneself is spontaneous accomplishment. The Buddha always acts for the sake of others, and attains perfect enlightenment for himself. Ordinary people strive for themselves, and if they cannot accomplish their own benefit, they will fall into the lower realms. Gyalsé Zhiwa Lha (Aryadeva) said, look at this difference. If you do not understand such bodhicitta, even if you practice the unsurpassed secret mantra, (636) it is difficult to go towards the path of enlightenment. On this, Dakpo Lhaje (Gampopa) said, the Dharma is the method of going to liberation, it is a profound pith instruction. The root of benefiting others is bodhicitta, this is the thirteenth chapter of redemption. This thirteenth chapter of the small song, urged by Tsering Gyatso, in the red part of the head month of the Wood Snake year (1245), during the meditation breaks of the sixth, seventh, and eighth days, according to my own experience, said by Ra Ga A Sy. Lama Virya Sagara, riding on the horse of finger lightning, in the heat of the first month, wearing the armor of great patience, for the benefit of others in future generations, riding on the swift and diligent steed, on the surface of the conch-colored paper, wrote with ink the color of lapis lazuli. Even if I, a homeless practitioner, guide some weaklings onto the path of practice, in the state of no great reality, having traversed many stages of the path, ultimately complete.
