Going astray due to the power of aspiration, what is accomplished is the demon of the divine son. Understanding it that way, the dakinis, even if they practice for a hundred years, will not realize the truth. Such a person is a lineage holder of inferior schools, and what is said is also of that meaning. Cutting off its fault lies in, not to mention the wealth of this life, the happiness of gods and humans in the afterlife, and the positions of Brahma and Indra, the universal monarch, even if obtained, there is no joy at all. Focusing solely on unsurpassed enlightenment, practicing the wisdom deities of empowerment and increase, thereby merit and wisdom increase, wind, mind, and appearances are all brought under control. For example, in a year of good harvest, when crops flourish, chaff naturally arises, the wealth and fame of this life, even if not deliberately pursued, will naturally come about. Even if the methods of practice are not different, it is the difference in aspiration and intention. (476) Even worse than that is, practicing worldly fierce deities, thinking they are superior to wisdom deities, feeling they are quick and effective, immediately manifesting results. Whatever you do, devote all your mind to understanding. That will cause the vows of refuge to be lost. Therefore, in the "Kadampa Compendium," it is said that most evil deities are more filthy than ghosts, what is said is of that meaning. For example, in the past there was a great lama, who practiced Pehar and obtained confirmation, later went to China, became the guru of the Chinese king, and obtained countless tea, silk, gold, and silver. Afterwards, he returned to Tibet and passed away in the Smar Shod (modern-day Shigatse area of Tibet). That cruel king caused him to be reborn as his attendant. Enjoying tea, silk, gold, and silver, manifesting countless miracles in a powerful manner, the monks could not move it, it was built in a huge empty cave, where it is now everyone knows, it is said that even looking is not dared. That (477) is also because of not understanding the way of reliance, not approaching the yidam deity, but instead practicing ghosts. What Padmasambhava said is also of this meaning. First, approach the yidam deity, until the stage of generation and completion reaches the point of clear appearance, and be certain that your own continuum is blessed. Afterwards, if you want quick effectiveness, then practice worldly fierce deities. But not as a refuge, it is best as a way of commanding and serving as a servant, the middle way is as brothers and companions, the lowest is to regard them as father and son. It is to accomplish the favorable conditions for achieving enlightenment, and to eliminate obstacles.

Relying on trees as friends, with only offerings and prayers as reward. If the meaning of the generation stage and completion stage is clear, there will be no obstacles in traversing the ground and path, and accomplishments and wisdom will be equal to the gods. If realization is extremely high, then the protectors and worldly arrogant ones will manifest from the inherent power of one's own awareness, and it is said that they will not be established elsewhere. These two are deviations of attachment. If deviations are not well determined, then there is no difference between the Ishvara practiced by the outsiders (478) and this. Next is the deviation of hatred. In the evil degenerate age, there are many enemies and thieves, but great rewards are given to the weak. Like Yama and other wrathful deities, thinking that they can accomplish things after being practiced, like venomous dragons and demons, they destroy everything from the root. Food, wealth, property, livestock, etc., are like poisonous trees, and whoever eats them will quickly show symptoms. They practice in order to achieve this goal. Harming others in this life is the root of one's own destruction in the next life. Considering such practices, Akshobhya also said that it is not permissible to meet even briefly with powerful practitioners and evil practitioners. The meaning of this is stated in the Manjushri Root Tantra: A Brahmin minister of the king, disobeying the king's law, repeatedly rebelled. The Brahmin practiced Yama, the Lord of Death, and killed all those who disobeyed the law. He served as a minister for many years. (479) After this Brahmin died, he was reborn as a local evil spirit, and for a long time absorbed the life breath of beings. After death, he fell into the Avici hell. For hundreds of millions of years, the suffering of hell is indescribable. After the obscurations were exhausted, he obtained a human body. Relying on the yidam Yama, the Lord of Death, he finally attained the fruit of self-realization. Some people think that even if the wisdom deity performs killing through the door of action, there is no fault, because the deity will guide, and even if one cannot guide oneself, it can be tolerated. This statement is not true, as has been clearly stated above. Therefore, it is even more foolish to practice worldly arrogant ones to perform killing, using casting, hail, black wind wheels, etc., to kill with evil mantras, which will lead to the loss of vows in the rules of the Vinaya. In the Vinaya's ritual of action, it says: Did you kill a human or someone who has taken human form? Did you threaten or cause death with weapons? Even reciting the mantra of death is not permissible, such a bhikshu will fail and cannot abide (480).
