What is needed? Is it to see the suffering of the lower realms? Even hearing about it makes one feel disgusted and weary, If one actually falls into it, how can one endure it? Thinking about this, if one cannot accumulate merit, Isn't my mind too foolish? From beginningless time, having taken countless bodies, There is no sentient being who has not been my relative, The number is so vast that it cannot be calculated, it is infinite, Yet one harbors hatred towards enemies, even dreaming of revenge. I, who am as shameless as a bear, truly feel weary. Relatives and friends, like guests at a market, Will soon separate and never meet again, The nature of samsara, which no one can reverse. The longing for loved ones, the mourning for the dead, And the endless arguments of "I" and "you" in life, Which demon is it that disturbs our minds? Now, like a dying lamp, The time when the teachings of Shakyamuni Buddha are declining has arrived. Like a bright white moon, the virtuous spiritual friends, (11) The monks are flourishing like a garden of flowers. Everyone claims to be a follower of the Bhagavan Shakyamuni Buddha, Yet they do not generate pure perception and devotion towards all beings, Instead, they hide their own faults like poison in their hearts, Pointing fingers at others' faults, which are as small as a horse's tail. Empty talk, blind following, accumulating negative karma. If I, like a goblin, were to fall into the path of non-Buddhists, Trying to exhaust all knowledge and subtle merits, It would be as ridiculous as measuring the sky with one's hand. Many panditas of the past have not exhausted its boundaries, While I, with my short life, dull wisdom, and laziness, Trying to exhaust the boundaries of merit, Is like searching for the edge of the sky with a sieve. Although the great Hampa did not fully exhaust the profound meaning, At least one should understand some of the basics. Too much thinking, complex knowledge, like the stars in the sky, Does not benefit oneself or others, and destroys virtuous deeds. Therefore, if one can practice the essential instructions, At least one will not regret it at the time of death. The lineage of the New Kadampa, is the pinnacle of the wise. Although nominally a translator, in reality a pandita. The great translator Rinchen Zangpo, in the four-pillared house, Constructed the mandalas of each of the four classes of tantra, (12) Dividing each day into four sessions, practicing each separately. At that time, the crown jewel of five hundred panditas, Atisha, Was displeased and said, "The translator is like a rotten tile." Then he gave the instruction to integrate everything into one, Through practice, he attained the rainbow body and went to the realm of the dakinis. Omniscient Orgyen Rinpoche,
