When content and satisfied, it fell from the hand and split in two, becoming an offering for the eyes. Just as the mother had prophesied, sandalwood, a key, precious turquoise, together with the craftsman, were placed inside the temple. Iron nails were hammered into the door, and it was left for six months and six days. When six months and five days had passed, the mother came and said, "Look, open the door." Saying that one day was still missing. "The person who could actually see the Buddha residing in the world, there is no one greater than me in Jambudvipa now. I will die under the umbrella tomorrow, I must see if it is the same or different from me. Open it now," when the iron nails were removed, the craftsman rose into the sky and disappeared. When the Teacher was thirty-five years old, the measure of the body of the perfectly enlightened one, the eyes were made of precious turquoise, and a statue was built that one could never tire of seeing, adorned with auspicious marks. The mother said that the perfectly enlightened Buddha, covers his face with his tongue, possesses the voice of Brahma, there is a distance of four fingers between the clothes and the body, and a fathom of light burns around him. Those are not visible on this body. The Teacher benefits beings with four modes of conduct, this statue only has the conduct of abiding. The crown of the Teacher's head is invisible, but the crown of this statue's head can be seen. The Teacher's hair is black like bees. (ང༤༢བ) This statue has a slightly bluish luster. The white hair between the eyebrows of the Teacher's thirty-two marks, is white and radiant, naturally spirals to the right. This statue is slightly less obvious. Apart from these eight differences, there is no difference from the real Teacher. In the future, when outsiders and statues compete, these eight qualities will also appear. Whoever sees it will involuntarily prostrate and worship, and never tire of seeing it. Forgetting food and drink, feeling the length of time is impermanent. Not daring to look back, only retreating. Just seeing it can cure diseases and forget suffering. Free from evil spirits, afflictions naturally subside. Limitless temporary and ultimate qualities arise. Having said this, the mother passed away both internally and externally. The son built a stupa with the ashes. The fault of not completing it one day before, it is said that the little toe of the right foot was incomplete, and it was later repaired. Now it is widely known in India that,

From one without leakage, arises a collection of hairs. The hair clusters coil to the right, it is a complete speech. Now in Jambudvipa, the supreme of holy objects, Named Vajrasana's Mahabodhi. Incomparable, it appears like the sun in the sky. Although this is written according to past fame, if one examines both the praise and commentary, the authors of the praise seem to be two brothers. The name of the builder of Vajrasana, and whether he was ordained or not, are not very clear. Later, by Dharma King Ashoka and others, Limitless images, stupas, and temples were made. A brief explanation of how the Teacher's relics came to be, this is the third section. The scribe is Tshewang Tenpa. The carving artisans, from the Gangyul of Smayal. Tshewang Darpo and Tashi Tshewang carved. May this virtue lead to the attainment of unsurpassed Bodhi! Again, respectfully summarizing the supreme Teacher, For those who act for the sake of his teachings, In the noble land of India, many rulers have appeared, From them, I will speak of what little I have heard. Possessing faith without a root, The patron of the teachings, King Ajatashatru, Ruled over the vast lands of Magadha and Anga, And the great kingdom of Kosala, And Varanasi and so on, As if covering everything with one white umbrella, He offered to the Teacher's teachings with one mind. His son, named Upa, wrote down all the words of the Victorious One, And made them into scriptures. May it expand, and after death, go to the heavenly realm. It is prophesied that he will surely attain Bodhi. Five years after Ajatashatru took the throne, the Teacher passed away. He ruled for a total of thirty-two years. After that, after ten kings had passed away, Dharma King Ashoka appeared, according to the royal chronicles of Li (Khotan). One hundred years after the Teacher's passing, The lord of Jambudvipa, King Ashoka, appeared. It is said to be from the lineage of Shakya Rizagpa, From some Tibetan royal testaments. From the Great Cloud Sutra: In the past, before the Buddha Lamp of the Naga Race, the minister Dharma Wheel Treasury made a prayer to become a king who would spread the Shakya teachings, this is now the Brahmin Kaundinya, who prophesied that one hundred and twenty years after my passing, in the Maurya lineage, a Chakravartin king named Ashoka will appear.
