Therefore, it was clearly stated that the prophesied regent was appointed. Therefore, the feet of glorious Naropa divided the teachings of the Able One into two categories. The teachings of the common vehicle, like an ocean, were entrusted to Jowo Atisha. Furthermore, the essential practice teachings of the Vajrayana were entrusted to Marpa Chokyi Lodrö, prophesying that the two would subdue the northern direction (ང༣༧ན). The Victorious One also prophesied in the Prajnaparamita Sutra that the profound meaning would flourish in the northern direction. The stream of the two lineages of Kagyü, as prophesied in the Tingdzin Gyalpo Sutra, merged into one with the glorious Gampopa. The precious teachings that arose from this, with their objects and branches in many ways, still remain somewhat even today. The chapter on the special explanation of the collection of the Kagyü is the second. The fourth Buddha of this Fortunate Aeon, Shakya Top (Shakyamuni Buddha), the manner in which his three kayas, the supreme objects of veneration, appeared is as follows: King Utrayana, who proclaims sounds, and Essence of Form, who had not seen each other, became friends and exchanged gifts. When Essence of Form sent a priceless jewel armor, Essence of Form could not find a return gift, so he requested the Teacher to paint an image of the Victorious One on cloth. The Teacher said, "Briefly and completely paint it and send it." The Teacher's radiance blazed like sunlight, and the painters were unable to depict it. While he was sitting above the bathing pond, his image appeared in the water, and the image was painted on the cloth as it was. Above and below, the arising and ceasing of dependent origination were written. The foundation of taking refuge in the Three Jewels and the five precepts of training, along with their benefits, were written. It was placed in a tube of gold, silver, and copper and placed on top of an elephant. "This is a gift that transcends the three realms. I send this to you, the powerful and joyful one. May you nourish your army with its four limbs. Scatter incense, water, and flowers in a spacious place. Request him to sit on a lion throne with an umbrella." With faith and respect (ང༣༧བ), he prostrated and opened the letter. When the king opened the letter after delivering it, he heard the merchants saying, "Prostrate to the Buddha," and the king's hair stood on end, and tears flowed. After reciting the verses of the Buddha's words, he took refuge and became a lay follower, realized the truth, and obtained the Dharma eye. The painted image of the Able One

It is called Lonma. Also, when the Dharma was being taught in Sarnath, The attendant of Shakya Mingchen, Urged the maidservant to take the pearl necklace. Alas, the maidservant's situation is so miserable, Thinking she has no fortune to hear such Dharma. She gazed with faith and intense longing. The Teacher, aware of her faith, Wrote a verse of Dharma and sent it to her. She left with joy and trust, On the way, she was struck by hail and died. Immediately, she was reborn in the land of Simhala, Entering the womb of the most noble queen of the king. At the time of birth, a rain of pearls fell from the sky, Therefore, she was named Pearl Woman. When she grew up, a merchant from the central region, Recited the Buddha's teachings, and she heard it. She said, "Please sing that beautiful song again." The merchant said, "This is not a song, it is the Buddha's teaching." Just hearing the name "Buddha," Her hair stood on end, and tears streamed down her face. She asked again, and the merchant told of the Buddha's virtues. She said, "Please save me from the realm of existence." She personally wrote a letter by hand and sent it. The Teacher accepted it and, on a silk cloth, Emitting light, it was written by a wise man, Together with the verses of the teachings, it was sent. As soon as the girl saw the letter, she realized the truth, All the people of that island took refuge in the Dharma of the Buddha. To repay the kindness, she offered the best pearls to the Three Jewels, And each large bag of Magadha (located in northern India). She is known as Thubpa Odzerma. These are the first paintings in this teaching. When faithful householders were offering feasts, Inviting the Sangha, when the Teacher had not yet passed away, Seeing the first seat empty, The great benefactor Anathapindika, Prayed, "If the Teacher allows, I will use jewels, To create an image of the Teacher, and please have him sit in the first seat." He received the Teacher's permission. Although he himself had the eyes to see all treasures, With compassion, he focused solely on benefiting others, Riding on an elephant, holding umbrellas and banners, Accompanied by conch shells and other musical instruments, Entering all the cities, including the slums, Begging everywhere to create Buddha images. It is said that he created many Buddha images. Those were the first relief images. These are all accurately recorded in the Vinaya.
