Abiding. At that time, for all the Buddhas of the Fortunate Aeon, the merchants Gagon and Zangpo, who had the aspiration to be the first to offer alms, when they were driving many loads of goods from south to north, the two strong and intelligent oxen named Legkye and Drakpa, guided the guests on the road, and if there was fear on the road, they would not go. At that time, the two intelligent oxen did not go on the original road, but took another road. They searched all the forests and did not see any fear, and for the sake of the oxen, they came to the Bodhi tree, saw the Victorious One abiding, and the oxen circled around the Buddha. The gods also showered flowers, and the merchants developed faith, so they offered yogurt, sugarcane, honey, rock sugar, etc. When they offered alms, the Victorious One began to think, if I take it with my hands, I will be like the heretics. He thought about what kind of vessel the previous Buddhas used, and he knew it was a bowl, so the gods also offered a clean place. The Four Great Kings offered many precious things, (page 19b) They did not accept the many precious bowls offered by them, but accepted the stone bowls offered by each of them. He blessed them into one, and after accepting the alms, he spoke auspicious verses to the merchants. From the time of entering the womb until this manifestation, most of it is what ordinary people see, based on the scriptures and the circumstances of manifestation, it is briefly summarized and slightly narrated. If based on the vision of the great saints, the adornment and arrangement of the Bodhi tree, possessing immeasurable great lion thrones, the realm of children cannot be counted even in kalpas. Abiding there, the retinue of Bodhisattvas who share the same karma with the Buddha is boundless. In the center, the Buddha, from the Vajra Throne, is immovable like the peak of Mount Meru, and from Anavatapta, Tushita, etc., up to Akanishta, the emanations of the body appear in their respective places. From the fields of the ten directions, the assembly of Bodhisattvas gathered, and the Avatamsaka Sutra was spoken. Similarly, in some tantras of the Vajrayana, the way of subduing the demons and attaining Buddhahood through the power of mantras, there are many different explanations, which cannot all be said. All are different appearances of the beings to be tamed, do not mistakenly think that they are happening one after another. After that, in order to proclaim the precious Dharma, and in order to tame the beings who have faith in Brahma, the profound, peaceful, free from elaboration, and luminous nature is not accumulated, like nectar.

I have found a profound Dharma! No matter who I show it to, they cannot understand it, so I thought it would be better to live in the forest like a silent bird. Various undesirable things have occurred in the world. When the gods knew, everyone prayed. Brahma offered a thousand-spoked golden wheel, saying that there is impure Dharma here in Magadha, thinking of words with defilements. Therefore, please, O Muni, open the gate of nectar! (ཁ༢༠ན) Thus, in order to urge all the Buddhas of the Fortunate Aeon to turn the wheel of Dharma, Brahma requested, and the Buddha assented. The Buddha said: I do not look at the requests of others; these beings all have faith in Brahma, and it is because of his request that I turn the wheel of Dharma. The two former teachers, Long Flight and Happy Conduct, if they thought honestly, would immediately know that the Buddha had passed away. Knowing that the first to be tamed were the five ascetics, when going to Varanasi, when the ferryman of the Ganges asked for ferry fare, the Buddha said there was no ferry fare and flew into the sky like a bird. When the king heard this, he forbade the monks from charging ferry fare. In the place called Deer Park in Varanasi, in the forest of the Deer Park where the hermits fell, the five ascetics made rules of disrespect, but unable to bear the Buddha's splendor, they left on their own. Do not call me by lineage or clan, now I have attained perfect and complete enlightenment. Thousands upon thousands of precious thrones arose naturally from the earth, and the Buddha prostrated and circumambulated the first three thrones. Seated fearlessly on the fourth throne, he proclaimed the nature, function, and result of the Four Noble Truths, turning countless wheels of Dharma with three repetitions and twelve aspects. First, Kaundinya attained the path of seeing. The Teacher asked: Have you understood all the Dharma? He answered three times, "Understood," and therefore became known as "Ajñātakauṇḍinya" (कुण्डिन्य, कौण्डिन्य, Kauṇḍinya, The wise Kaundinya). The second time, Kaundinya became an Arhat, and was shown to be the supreme holder of the saffron banner. Aśvajit, Vāṣpa, Bhadrika, and Mahānāman received great names. They attained the path of seeing, and the third time became Arhats. These five received full ordination through complete understanding of wisdom. Eighty thousand gods of the desire and form realms obtained the Dharma eye. All the gods made a rumbling sound (ཁ༢༠བ), especially proclaiming: They have seen the turning of the wheel of Dharma that no god or human had ever turned before. The Hinayana tradition does not accept other wheels of Dharma. This is the first turning of the wheel of Dharma in the Mahayana tradition. Fame
