Surrounded by the assembly of lineage lamas. In the branch in front, four-armed Avalokiteśvara is surrounded by the assembly of yidam deities. On the right branch is the Buddha. (506) Behind is the form of the Dharma treasure scripture. On the left are the Sangha of the Great and Small Vehicles. In the intermediate spaces, all the assemblies of dakinis and Dharma protectors reside, visualize like this. With great reverence in body, speech, and mind, oneself and all sentient beings take refuge, with a single-pointed mind, reciting the extensive refuge words: I and all sentient beings take refuge in the lamas who are the guides on the excellent path. I take refuge in the yidam deities, the source of siddhis. I take refuge in the Buddhas, the essence of the three kayas. I take refuge in the profound, peaceful, free from elaboration, sacred Dharma. I take refuge in the Sangha who abide on the bhumis and have entered the path. I take refuge in the protectors who dispel all obstacles. Or, if abbreviated: Buddha, Dharma (507), Sangha, accumulate a hundred thousand times. Second is the generation of bodhicitta: Taking all sentient beings as the object of thought. In order to place all sentient beings, who are like space, in the state of unsurpassed, perfectly complete enlightenment of Buddhahood. For this purpose, I will practice the profound yoga of the path of noble Avalokiteśvara, thinking like this. From now until all beings attain Buddhahood. I myself will not seek a moment of peace and happiness. In the nature of aspiration and practice. Day and night, I will diligently engage in virtuous deeds. Or, if abbreviated: I will speak of giving, etc. Third is the mandala: Arrange it properly according to the practice. If done in detail, like the Golden Island and Non-Dual Vajra rituals from the Hundred Short Teachings, etc. If that much cannot be done, then from the thirty-seven-pile mandala to the seven-pile mandala, visualize the actually arranged mandala transforming into a cloud of Samantabhadra offerings, offering it many times, thereby perfecting the accumulations for oneself and others. Light radiates from the body, purifying obscurations. All beings go to the pure lands. Again, due to devotion, visualize the refuge field dissolving into light and merging into oneself. Fourth is the visualization and recitation of Vajrasattva: From emptiness, on a lotus and moon cushion, the light of a white Hūṃ radiates and gathers, oneself appears as the form of Vajrasattva, visualize it as clear without inherent existence, in the heart on the moon (509), the hundred-syllable mantra surrounds the Hūṃ, from which light radiates

Shines. The body is filled. Sins and obscurations are purified, and light radiates outwards. The suffering and obscurations of the six realms are purified. Contemplate the light returning and dissolving into oneself, and abide in the clarity of appearance. Recite the Hundred Syllable Mantra as much as possible. Finally, rest in a state of non-objectification. Fifth is Guru Yoga. On the crown of one's head, on a lion throne lotus moon seat, is the root guru Avalokiteśvara, with a white body, one face, and two arms. The right-hand grants boons. The left-hand holds a white lotus. The legs are in the lotus posture. Adorned with silk and jewels. From the three places of limitless radiating light, light radiates from the three syllables (Om, Ah, Hum). Invite all those worthy of offering, and contemplate offering with the mind. Praise with "stainless" and so on. With devoted mind, focus on the supplication of the lineage. And, all sentient beings equal to space, take refuge in Guru Avalokiteśvara. Repeat this as much as possible. Finally, from the three places of the guru, the three syllables (Om, Ah, Hum), radiate white, red, and blue lights, the essence of nectar, like a stream flowing into one's own three places. The whole body is filled with the stream of light and nectar. The impurities of the three doors are purified. The blessings of body, speech, and mind enter. Finally, the guru dissolves into light and merges into oneself, contemplating that the guru's secret three places and one's own three doors become inseparable, and abide in one's own nature. Second (511) there are two: deity visualization with signs, and signless samadhi of suchness. The first has two: the preparation for entering yoga, and how to practice the actual yoga. The first is to sit comfortably on a cushion, in the seven-point posture of Vairochana or one's own tradition's lotus posture, in short, to sit in a posture that possesses meditative conduct. The breath is not deliberately manipulated, but naturally rests. The mind abides in a state of unwavering clarity. The second has four: visualizing the protection wheel, visualizing the deity to be relied upon, generating the clear appearance of the deity, and stimulating the mind lineage through recitation. The first is: in the four directions of one's bed (512), visualize one red ཧྲཱིཿ (Tibetan, Devanagari: ह्रीः, Romanized Sanskrit: hrīḥ, Literal Chinese meaning: 舍) syllable each, with the head pointing upwards. In the upper and lower two directions, visualize one red ཧྲཱིཿ (Tibetan, Devanagari: ह्रीः, Romanized Sanskrit: hrīḥ, Literal Chinese meaning: 舍) syllable each, with the head pointing upwards and downwards. The ཧྲཱིཿ (Tibetan, Devanagari: ह्रीः, Romanized Sanskrit: hrīḥ, Literal Chinese meaning: 舍) syllable in front dissolves like a net of light. From it, the light strikes the upper ཧྲཱིཿ (Tibetan, Devanagari: ह्रीः, Romanized Sanskrit: hrīḥ, Literal Chinese meaning: 舍) syllable. That syllable also dissolves as before. The light of that syllable
