From the ground, rays of light emanate. Inviting all the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, the assembly of tutelary deities, and the protectors of the sacred Dharma. Integrating all of one's (709) Dharma connections, the Lama is the essence of light and rays. Merely hearing the name is enough to prevent regression, so if one has attained the ground, there is no need to mention the necessity of prayer. Focus on this one thought. In front of oneself, with the demons and earth lords who harm oneself as the main focus, and all sentient beings as vast as the sky, join the palms of the hands in respectful gesture. With respectful speech, offer prayers. With respectful mind, contemplate devotion without interruption. In one's own speech, recite: "I pray to the Lama, the Buddha, the Precious One!" And contemplate that all actions and all sentient beings are also praying "Kudi Riri." Lama, Buddha, Precious One, please grant me the ability to abandon self-grasping. Please grant me the ability to realize that meaningless appearances are one's own mind. (710) Pray intensely and for a long time like this. During the breaks between sessions, with the thought "My Lama, my Lama," generate devotion and longing. With the thought "I will die tonight," keep the mind short and focused. And with the thought "This appearance is a dream, an illusion," pass the time in these three states. At night, during sleep, grasp the key points of time, the key points of body, the key points of focus, and especially recognize thoughts as dreams. Again, the prayer to the Lama is the same as before. In particular, contemplate one's own body as the Yidam, and think that this very Yidam is within one's own mind. Meditate for a long time without mixing appearance and mind. Similarly, before falling asleep, whatever pleasant dream arises, such as meeting a beautiful woman by someone without children, as soon as one wakes up, without opening the eyes, I have not gone outward (711), nor has any woman or anything else come to me. This is the clear manifestation of one's own mind. Whatever appears, think that it is the manifestation of one's own mind, appearance and mind are one, decisively decide this and practice. Also, if a situation arises in a dream that generates anger, then contemplate that one's own mind appears as the situation that generates anger, contemplate that one is generating anger towards oneself, meditate without opening the eyes. After opening the eyes, pray intensely, and meditate for a long time without mixing appearance and mind. Also, if an indifferent dream of neutral feeling arises in a dream, whatever dream arises, without opening the eyes, in the dream.
