There are no those who have crossed to the other shore. Those ones have not come back. Just as there are no things established separately outside, except for the various appearances of one's own mind, all phenomena encompassed by existence and non-existence, including the container and its contents, are created by one's own mind. There is nothing established separately outside, except for what appears in the mind. Having ascertained that all appearances arise from one's own mind, one meditates on it. As the Vajra Song says: Outside of the precious mind, there is no Buddha, nor any individual. The places and meanings of the various consciousnesses, there is not even a little that exists outside. Like that. As it says in the Lankavatara Sutra: The mind disturbed by habitual tendencies, various appearances arise intensely. It is not real, it is merely conceptual imputation, seeing external things as real is a mistake. So it is. Second, meditating on the mind as illusion and dream: Mind, is like illusion and dream. Grasping, refers to the illusory body and the last sense power. The dream itself is grasped, the three without error. Purifying, refers to the mind purifying the body, the body purifying the mind, purifying through the intention of selflessness. Expanding, refers to encountering and those to be tamed. The first has four: the subtle of the four elements, the gross, the subtle of sentient beings, the gross. Those to be tamed have two: the worldly and the transcendent to be tamed. Emanating, refers to like encountering (317) and so on. Those that are transformed, refers to: the subtle and gross of the four elements, the subtle and gross of sentient beings, various deity forms, transforming into emptiness and detachment. Daytime, refers to: during all activities of the daytime, abandoning all ordinary thoughts, thinking that I have fallen asleep. Whatever appears, thinking it is a dream, like an illusion. With such intention, practicing without distraction for even a moment, when grasping the dream, illusion naturally arises, and thus also ascertains the daytime. Those, if they have previously obtained the six dharmas, only show the sections. If they have not obtained them, give the general empowerment of the illusory body, and meditate in detail like the six dharmas. Third, illusion naturally arises: Illusion-grasping, refers to: the clear light (318) that is free from illusion-grasping, arises from two ways: devotion and the way of seeing. Praying intensely, and not leaving the way of seeing like an elephant, thus the mind does not lose the calculation of clear emptiness without grasping, the bliss where appearances do not cease and grasping does not enter, clear

Furthermore, non-conceptuality and inexpressibility: these three arise inseparably. These, in order, are: the Enjoyment Body, the Emanation Body, the Dharma Body, inseparable Great Bliss, which is the Body of Suchness. Day and night, the four bodies arise naturally; this is the Great Seal of Clear Light. In short, based on appearances, take your own mind onto the path; based on your own mind, take illusion; based on illusion, take dreams; based on dreams, take the self-arising clear light onto the path. Again, know all appearances as illusion; know illusion as mind (319); know mind as the three bodies of clear, empty, great bliss. The gathering of the three path-takings is: however you abide, do not separate from the appearance of the lama; pray with uninterrupted devotion and respect; your own body and all appearances are the deity body of appearance-emptiness; all recitations of speech and sounds are sound-emptiness; all thoughts and concepts of mind are self-arising and self-liberating; practice single-pointedly, free from grasping. In just a month or a year, all appearances will appear as the illusion of the lama and yidam, and in one lifetime, in one body, the fruit of Buddhahood will be realized. Therefore, this Secret Mantra Vajrayana, now, immediately, all qualities will manifestly arise, and the path is swift, so it is called the Manifest Path (320), superior to all other instructions. In the Tantra of the Sprout of Bliss, it is said: During the day, the three bodies arise naturally; during the night, the three bodies arise naturally; Secret Mantra is the Manifest Path, superior to all the perfections of conduct. Thus it is said. Know all appearances as the illusion of the lama and yidam; know these three as mind; know mind as the three bodies of clear, empty, great bliss. By the heart-essence instructions of the Victorious Ones, furthermore, this explanation clarifying the words and meaning of the three essential path-takings, was composed with altruistic intent by the mantra-holder Dhvaja-laksha. If there are any errors, I ask the lamas, dharma-lords, and dakinis for forgiveness. May all sentient beings quickly attain omniscience through this virtuous aspiration. May it benefit all sentient beings (321). Good! Auspicious! The Identification of the Extraordinary Arising Doors. The body that is the union of all Buddhas, in the nature of clear, empty, free from elaboration, great bliss, fulfilling the hopes and desires of those to be tamed, bowing to the feet of the kind one. Also, for the sake of clarifying the nature,
