However, if one does not understand in this way, then the appearance of sentient beings who experience suffering will also arise. The appearance of suffering to be experienced will also arise, and the way of experiencing and (662) the way of samsara will also arise. Although all of this appears even though it does not exist, it is pitiful that one experiences various sufferings like sentient beings deceived by illusion. May these delusions, delusions be cleared away, and may they be placed in the state of the Buddha who realizes the reality. Ultimately, neither I nor those sentient beings nor delusion nor the path that eliminates delusion are established. However, in the mere appearance of delusion in relative truth, just as suffering and obscurations appear to exist, the path also appears to exist. By meditating on the path, delusion is cleared away, and one naturally abides in reality and becomes a (663) Buddha. With an illusory self, to illusory sentient beings, by teaching the illusory path or Dharma, may those exhausted by illusory suffering be liberated into the Dharmadhatu. All suffering, what is suffered, and who suffers are not truly established, and it is impossible for any phenomenon of appearance and sound to be truly established. However, clinging to permanence, even if there were a truly established suffering, there is no greater suffering than experiencing this unreal suffering. If one realizes that this does not exist, one will naturally be liberated, but it is pitiful if one does not understand in this way. (664) One should repeatedly think and meditate. This is the summary of the sixty-four objects of focus. Now, to enhance its power, spend a whole day meditating only on emptiness, spend a whole day meditating only on compassion, and spend a whole day meditating on the union of emptiness and compassion as before. By repeatedly doing this, power will arise. Sometimes meditate on emptiness alone for one session, meditate on compassion alone for one session, and meditate on the union of emptiness and compassion for one or two sessions. By repeatedly doing this at different times, power will arise. One session is over. Now, I will speak about the terminology for eliminating obstacles. (665) The union of emptiness and compassion is the core of practice. To this, there will arise obstacles of attachment to the happiness of this life, having great enjoyment in this life, beautiful words, and great power, this should be suppressed. Also, one hopes that others will consider oneself a good practitioner, and hopes that others will be more than oneself.
