With reverence, I offer this to the lotus of the heart. Grant blessings for the stability of the three doors. In the past, there was no tradition of expressing the meaning of meditation in words in this tradition. However, the Omniscient Sixth Dharma Lord of Dharma (Choskyi Wangchuk) composed the root text of the Great Six Dharmas of Naropa, which made it easier for those of lesser intelligence to understand, and there was a great tradition of benefit. Now, practitioners have repeatedly urged that the Six Dharmas of this tradition should also be like that, so I write this without hesitation. May the lineage of the Seven Precious Jewels, the Five Classes of Dharma-Protecting Dakinis, and the Swift-Acting Yeshe Gonpo with his retinue, grant permission and bestow blessings. The preliminary recitations have already been recorded elsewhere. Here, the first of the Golden Dharmas, the root of the Six Dharmas of Niguma, in the instructions of the Great Jetsun, is said to have sixty-seven detailed contemplations, seventeen intermediate ones, and six condensed ones in a single seat. Here, we will engage in the detailed practice instructions. During the actual meditation, to summarize the essential points, we will first clarify the preliminary practice of Tummo, the self-igniting bliss-warmth, which is the essential point of the body and the empty sphere of fire: Visualize yourself as Vajravarahi, with a red body, three eyes, unbound hair, adorned with bone ornaments. Holding a vajra and a skull cup filled with blood, residing in the midst of flames. Seated on a lotus, sun disc, and human corpse seat, with the right leg extended. Within the empty sphere like a red silk canopy, the nature of red light and warmth pervades. Thus, clearly visualize the empty sphere with the body, which is the same as in the actual practice below. (59) The visualization of the wild fire: In front and behind your navel, and on the left and right of your kidneys, there are four round fireballs, red in color and hot to the touch, clearly visible like red-hot iron balls. By stirring with fierce winds, the four fireballs collide, sparks crackle, pervading the body, and the heat rises and burns fiercely throughout the upper and lower parts. The actual practice of Tummo, the food practice: Clarifying the empty sphere of the channels and the bindus: Visualize your body as the deity, the central channel straight and slender, the left and right channels clear, red and white. The four chakras are like umbrella ribs, like red-hot iron. At the anus, the wind mandala, a blue crescent moon flutters. At the junction of the three channels, the red (Tibetan: རཾ, Sanskrit Devanagari: रं, Sanskrit Romanization: raṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Rang) syllable, is the nature of fire. At the upper end of the central channel, the white (Tibetan: ཧཾ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हं, Sanskrit Romanization: haṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Hang) syllable faces downwards.

(60) The nature of white dharma is cool, blissful, prosperous, and clear. After that is clear, the clarification of wind yoga and fierce fire is: By contracting the wind below, filling, suppressing, and throwing. Through vase-like yoga, all winds pass through taste and singularity. Arising from the center of the wind and gathering below the navel. By blowing the Raṃ syllable (Tibetan: རཾ།, Devanagari: रं, Romanized Sanskrit: raṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: fire), like a flame combing. It becomes thin, clear, and long-lasting, blazing. Having gained power from this, the blazing and dripping is: The flame of fierce fire touches the Haṃ (Tibetan: ཧཾ།, Devanagari: हं, Romanized Sanskrit: haṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: emptiness) at the crown of the head. The flow of white bodhicitta dissolves into Raṃ (Tibetan: རཾ།, Devanagari: रं, Romanized Sanskrit: raṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: fire). In front is fire, and behind is the flow of bodhicitta. Uninterruptedly, immeasurable bliss and warmth arise. The common practice of generating fierce fire, wearing clothes, and laying down a mat is: The dwelling is a tent on a vajra ground. With a lotus and sun cushion, like red-hot iron (61). The deity's body, ornaments, etc., the flames flicker and blaze. The flames of fierce fire fill the inside of the body. Riding a horse while walking is: Oneself as the yidam, clear, free from attachment to appearance and emptiness. The wind goddesses, white and green with wings. The two lift from the right and left armpits. Unobstructed, one goes to any place one desires. Thus, clarify. It is said that by holding the gentle wind and going, there is no difficulty and it turns into physical exercise. The path of the superior faculty for the illusory body, self-liberation of attachment and aversion, is: Conditioned things are impermanent, and it is uncertain when one will die. In any case, one needs oneself as the yidam deity. Pray to the guru at the crown of the head with devotion. Self-dissolving, cut off the elaborations of the three times, and rest freely. The practice of the intermediate faculty is: (62) The deity and guru, devotion, remembrance, and longing, the three. Always inseparable, oneself and others, all containers and contents. Appear but do not exist as true, like illusion and dream. Without clinging, abide in one's own nature. The inferior faculty, the antidote to the appearance of the six realms as illusion, has eight key points, the first is: Oneself as the yidam, a white dharma source below the navel. One corner facing forward, the nature of light is clear. The second is: Those beings of the six realms, each with their own. Appearance and behavior are completely filled. The third is: The habits of birth there, the shape of the root syllable below the navel. Beings equal to space, all are unreal illusions. The fourth is: These old mothers grasp the unreal as real. Constantly wandering in samsara, it is truly pitiful. The fifth is: These (63) quickly from the fear of samsara
