A custom of bestowing instructions arose without even performing the maturation empowerment of the five deities. Since then, due to the influence of easy Dharma, there seems to be little pursuit of the extensive practice of the five deities. This is because it became necessary to recite the ten precepts of "not knowing how to do the six Dharmas." It was merely replacing the extensive empowerment of the five deities with something else. Furthermore, for this lineage of Yeshe Khandro, since the six Dharmas themselves are the pillar and root of the path, if it is a common maturation empowerment, one should not have the wrong notion that it contradicts the pillar of the six Dharmas. Therefore, the two precepts of opening the door of blessings are: the great and small empowerments of the Chakrasamvara five-deity mandala. The empowerment of the five tantra classes' main collection is: (509) the establishment of the Yidam deity, so it is universally related to all golden Dharmas, but it is not counted among the twenty-five fundamental precepts. Thus, for the six Dharmas themselves, that is how the extensive practice of branches is done. The second, common, abbreviated, intermediate way is: the empowerment of opening the door of blessings is condensed into the illusory body great empowerment alone. Even though most people are doing this nowadays, it is good to do it at the beginning of the instructions without doing the other precepts. The two purifications and other parts are not needed. One should completely practice the single root of the instruction. The third, the way of condensing without omitting anything, is: one must bestow the illusory body great empowerment. This method of instruction has two parts: preliminary and main practice. The first is the purifying A-syllable empty sphere, which is one focus round. Although refuge and bodhicitta must be done first, the focus round is not counted separately. In the main practice, among the six Dharmas: (510) for tummo, the preliminary is the body posture fire empty sphere. The main practice is eating tummo as food. Afterwards is requesting the bardo empowerment. That is, three focus rounds. For the illusory body: one's own body is the empty appearance deity body. Taking whatever appears as the path of illusion. Causing the six realms to appear as illusion, that is three focus rounds. For seizing dreams: one's own holding of the bindu, the key points of the four empowerments, and the two ways of conceptual path. Regarding practice, some say to combine any one of the pairs, but one should combine the mind training the body and the aspiration practice. From within the appearance of objects, the bindu makes the appearance of objects clear. For the dream instruction, the fundamental boundaries are: seizing, practicing, and the appearance of objects, which have five focus rounds. The clear light of

Therefore, take impermanent sorrow and devotion to the Guru as the preliminary to practice. Use the radiance of the path of means, the vows of conduct, and the ways of conduct for the intervals of practice. Even if it is said to meditate on any one of the three objects of focus (511) that are held, make holding the Guru alone the core of practice. Thus, it is holding and merging with the clear light. Merging has clear-void merging and day-night merging. Thus summarizing the meaning, completely holding the Guru, clear-void merging, day-night merging, these are the three objects of focus for clear light. Transference has the wisdom star window, which is one object of focus. Bardo has the Victorious Sambhogakaya conduct and the unerring key point, combining these two becomes one great object of focus. Thus, the six dharmas combined are seventeen great objects of focus. Gathering into the core essence is a single seat, which will be explained separately. Thus, the essence of the Dakini's speech, the profound meaning of the Guru's oral instructions, even if there are many written records, do not (512) rely on those. After memorizing the unbroken oral tradition, pointing to the hidden places of ancient sources is the mark of a wise person. Originally, if there is no experiential lineage, what use is mere formal arrangement? The Guru's blessing, the experiential lineage, is most important when it enters the mind. This is Tara Natha's arrangement of the order of focus for the Six Dharmas of Naropa, detailed and concise without confusion. May the teachings flourish, may the lotus feet of the holders of the teachings be firm, and may all beings quickly attain the state of Vajradhara, through the virtue of spreading the wonderful and rare near path of the Six Dharmas of Vajrayana. May all be auspicious! (513) From the Golden Dharma of Glorious Shangpa, the root is the condensed guidance of the Six Dharmas of Naropa, the practice of a single seat, called the Oral Instructions of the Wisdom Dakini. (514) Homage to the Lord of Stability and Change, the Great Bliss, the sole nature of diverse forms, the unsurpassed one arising from the profound stages. Directly taught from all the tantras, the traces of hundreds of thousands of accomplished ones who have passed away, giving wisdom through practice, explaining the Six Dharmas, a single seat (515). This is also the ultimate completion of all the unsurpassed tantras such as the five teachers.
