Intensely practice. Then, thinking it's a real dream, visualize yourself clearly as the deity's form, or, even if transforming the body's appearance into something else, think of flying in the sky to reach that place and seeing all the things that need to be seen. In this way, the same will happen in dreams at night. Here, the so-called "mind-body sky-flying," although sky-flying simply means flying to the sky, some explain it as some transforming into forms like sky-flying garudas and going. The thirty-ninth contemplation sequence. Fourth, the inferior contemplation object appearance instructions have three (443): Selfless Mother object appearance clarification, A object appearance clarification, Bindu object appearance clarification. The first is: The preliminary practice is the same as before. Below one's navel, visualize a skull of light nature, white on the outside and red on the inside. Within it, visualize oṃ āḥ hūṃ (Tibetan, 唵阿吽, oṃ āḥ hūṃ, body, speech, and mind). The color is blue, radiating various rays of light. From that, rays of light radiate, filling the dharma realm and one's own body. Radiating from the pores, visualize the outer container world as a palace, and the inner sentient beings as deities. From the tips of the rays of light, emanate countless offerings, and visualize offering them to all the deity mandalas that were originally abiding and newly arrived. Visualize all forms as Buddha bodies, all sounds as mantras, and all memories as illusory dreams. Again, the rays of light gather back, dissolving into the mantra letters at the navel. That itself transforms into the form of the noble Vajra Selfless Mother. The sound of the mantra is diri diri. Offerings are presented. (444) Pray for the stabilization of the object appearance. This is the definitive oral instruction for daytime contemplation. In other practices, when the first ray of light is emitted from the mantra, various deities headed by Selfless Mother appear. When the second ray of light is emitted, offerings are presented. The former is emitted from the right nostril, and the latter from the left nostril. Visualization cushion: At the navel, visualize Selfless Mother in a skull, and at her navel, visualize the mantra in a skull. The light is emitted only once, from the right nostril. In both practices, there is no gathering back of light. The light gathers back and dissolves into the mantra, and then arises as the deity, which appears in the instructions of the Golden Island Master. The contemplation at bedtime is: After contemplating the previous contemplation once, present the four offerings.

Offer it completely. Yidam deity, at this moment tonight, may I see immeasurable Buddha-fields and accomplish great offerings. (445) Thus pray. If there are specific subtle wishes, also pray to see this and that. Then, turn the face of the Selfless Mother towards oneself, and visualize that in the very clear space directly in front of the heart, one sees the desired object as clearly as an image appearing in a mirror. This will establish the appearance of the object during dreams. It is also said that one can meditate on the Dharma-arising palace instead of the skull. This is the fortieth meditation practice. Second, the practice of clarifying the appearance of the bindu object: The preliminaries are as before. In the center of the body, which is visualized as one's own deity, visualize the central channel, white in color, clear and transparent, with the nature of light, as thick as a small finger. At the upper end is a white ཧཾ་ (Tibetan, Devanagari: हं, Romanized Sanskrit: haṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: ), head pointing downwards. At the lower end is a red-blue ཧཱུྃ་ (Tibetan, Devanagari: हूँ, Romanized Sanskrit: hūṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: ), head pointing upwards. In the navel center is a short ཨ་ (Tibetan, Devanagari: अ, Romanized Sanskrit: a, Literal Chinese meaning: ), also pointing upwards. After expelling stale air, inhale, visualizing a white bindu, the size of a pea, descending from ཧཾ་ (Tibetan, Devanagari: हं, Romanized Sanskrit: haṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: ) and reaching the heart. Compressing the lower air (446), visualize a red-blue bindu, the size of a bean, rising from ཧཱུྃ་ (Tibetan, Devanagari: हूँ, Romanized Sanskrit: hūṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: ). By contracting the abdomen and anus, visualize a very red bindu, the size of half a pea, rising from ཨ་ (Tibetan, Devanagari: अ, Romanized Sanskrit: a, Literal Chinese meaning: ). These two bindus also reach the heart. The three bindus merge into one, white with red, slightly tinged with blue, becoming one. Focus the mind slightly on this flickering light. With the desire to see the object, exhale, visualizing white and red rays of light, like a thread or emanation, emanating from the bindu in the heart and exiting from the left nostril, reaching the place one wishes to see. Like holding up a lamp in the darkness, one clearly sees the object. Alternatively, one can visualize the ray of light as an empty tube, and see through it. It is said that one can also meditate on seeing through it. The key point of this meditation is the wind, and the red-blue bindu is the oral instruction. This is the forty-first meditation practice. (447) Third, the practice of clarifying the appearance of the object with the letter ཨ་ (Tibetan, Devanagari: अ, Romanized Sanskrit: a, Literal Chinese meaning: ): The preliminaries and visualization of the central channel are as before. Within the central channel, visualize a white ཨ་ (Tibetan, Devanagari: अ, Romanized Sanskrit: a, Literal Chinese meaning: ) letter in the navel center, clear, transparent, and with the nature of light. With the intention of dream practice, practice vase breathing and gentle wind slightly. Then, from the ཨ་ (Tibetan, Devanagari: अ, Romanized Sanskrit: a, Literal Chinese meaning: ) letter, a thread of white light radiates.
