There are two types of transformation: transformation into encounters and transformation into what is to be subdued. The first, transformation into encounters, is divided into two: transformation into subtle and coarse elements, and transformation into subtle and coarse sentient beings. The first is: Before the main practice (433), pray for blessings to be able to transform dreams. After concluding like this, the rest is the same as before. If you see something like a clod of earth in front of you, think: I have fallen asleep. This appearance of earth is the earth of a dream. I too must transform into a clod of earth like this, generate such a desire. Immediately afterwards, you yourself become like that clod of earth. Meditate slightly, thinking it is a dream. Then interrupt it, cast your eyes elsewhere, let the mind wander, and strongly generate the desire for a dream. Meditate by repeating this again and again. By analogy, all other subtle and coarse elements can also be applied, this is the thirty-first object of focus. The second, transformation into subtle and coarse sentient beings, can also be inferred by the previous methods. If you see a person in front of you, think: Alas, this is a person in a dream. I too must transform into such a person, thinking this, immediately (434) you yourself also become like that person. With the desire for a dream, slightly hold the mind. Then interrupt it, thinking it is a dream. Practice revolving like this. The method of applying it to other creatures is also the same as before. This is the thirty-second object of focus. The second, transformation into what is to be subdued, has two types: mundane and supramundane. The first is: The rest is the same as before. If you see a mouse in front of you, think: This is a mouse in a dream. It needs to be subdued, for this I must transform into a cat, thinking this, you yourself immediately become a cat. Think of completely destroying that mouse. Others can also be inferred by analogy. This is the thirty-third object of focus. The second, the supramundane what is to be subdued is: For the benefit of yourself or others, visualize a spirit or demon with discriminating awareness in front of you. Think: This is a spirit or demon in a dream. It needs to be subdued, thinking this, you yourself instantly become a great wrathful deity (435), binding with a noose, striking, etc., subduing as before, causing it to be destroyed without any remainder. This is just a dream! There is not even a little bit of becoming a real thing.

Now think like this. Repeat it again and again like that. Others are like the time of proliferation. Among them, proliferation means proliferating what is in front. Emanation is oneself emanating, and in most cases, proliferation is slightly easier, and emanation is slightly more difficult, so proliferation is mentioned first, and emanation is mentioned later. Moreover, when subduing objects beyond the world, when the initial target is not achieved, even if one can emanate oneself in a dream, one cannot subdue the other party. If a wrathful deity comes forward and subdues, then one can subdue. The reason for this is that one has the habits of an ordinary person and cherishing, so there is fear of failure. It is said that the reason is that the deity in front does not have such (436) reasons. The thirty-fourth practice session. Fifth, in the instructions for transforming dreams, there are four types: transforming the four elements into subtle and coarse, transforming sentient beings into subtle and coarse, transforming deity forms into various forms, and transforming appearance and emptiness into non-attachment. The first is: Please bless me to be able to transform dreams. This is how the transformation ends. There is no difference in other preliminaries. The last three can also be inferred from this. If there is something like a vase in front of you, I think I am asleep. This appearance of a vase is also in a dream. Whatever is done to the vase in the dream can be done, whatever is transformed can be transformed. With a strong desire to transform this vase into a stove, it immediately becomes a stove. Thinking of transforming it into a pillar, it becomes a pillar. Like these, transform the essence, size, shape, number, and color into indefinite ones as you wish. In this way, if you can transform something like a vase into various forms, then you must learn to transform the various forms of earth, water, fire, wind, earth, stones, mountains, rocks, trees, forests, etc., which are internally (437) related to each other, into endless forms. The thirty-fifth practice session. Second, transforming sentient beings into subtle and coarse can also be inferred from this. If you see something like a person in front of you, this is a person in a dream. Whatever is transformed can be transformed. Whatever is thought can be thought. Thinking of transforming him into a horse, he immediately becomes a horse. Then transform him into an elephant. Then transform him into a cow, camel, etc., and then transform humans and livestock, and life into various forms. When transforming the four elements and sentient beings
