Applying excessive importance to what does not exist is the third key point. Like that, one must repeatedly meditate on the intention that possesses the three key points. This is the fifteenth contemplation cycle. Second, those three (395) key points are gradually transferred and applied to all other appearances. That is, first meditate on the visualization of one's own body as an empty-appearing deity, and without it disappearing, first, for all of one's own residence and material possessions, that they are nothing other than appearances of the mind, and that the mind itself is like an illusion, and that grasping at illusion also dissolves into the expanse, learn to maintain the natural flow of self-arising awareness. Having become accustomed to that, if there are self-controlled food, wealth, retinue, land, etc., and objects of attachment and aversion, enemies and friends, one must definitely practice with those. Having become accustomed to that, gradually apply those three key points to all appearances. In all session breaks, meditate on the intention of death and impermanence, and devotion to the lama, and contemplating whatever appears as unreal and like an illusion, one should not be separated from any one of these three. This is called combining three intentions (396). Thus, it is the sixteenth contemplation cycle. Third, for the lowest faculties to generate samadhi on a single cushion, one must be separated from the four awakenings. The four are: too much walking is the awakening of virtue, too much moving of residence is the awakening of virtue, too many thoughts are the awakening of virtue, too much idle talk is the awakening of virtue. One must abandon these and meditate. Differentiating that, the six realms appear as illusion, taking sickness and demons as the path, appearances are the six collections of qualities, non-attachment is the self-arising of illusion. First, making the six realms appear as illusion is: from taking refuge up to praying to the lama is the same as before, it is said to be able to sustain about one-third of the session. That is, according to the direct instruction of the Them Yig, there are five prayers for the illusory body, the superior and intermediate faculties, and four prayers for the inferior faculties. The meaning of that is: Pray that you may accomplish the illusory body from the superior and intermediate faculties (397), pray that you may accomplish dreams, thus distinguishing them separately. And in the case of the inferior faculties, pray that you may accomplish the illusory body and dreams, thus combining them into one, so it becomes the meaning of four prayers, but in practice and oral tradition, for the superior, intermediate, and inferior three faculties,

Such distinctions are unnecessary, as there is no difference between making five prayers and making four prayers to all three. Then, after the lama dissolves into oneself, one's own body is the empty deity form, and one focuses the mind on the lower part. There, visualize a triangular dharma source (chos 'byung, dharma-udbhava) that is white and clear, with a thin root pointing downwards, inserted downwards from the anus, and a large head pointing upwards, with the front corner facing the navel and the other two corners facing the left and right kidney areas. Visualize it as being of the nature of clear and transparent light (398). By focusing the mind on this, visualize that it is filled with various kinds of sentient beings of the six realms, whose bodies, enjoyments, colors, shapes, clothing, and adornments are all different, and who are each experiencing various kinds of happiness and suffering. Also, think that this is because the karma and afflictive habits in one's own continuum, which cause one to be born in different ways in the six realms, appear as the forms of the six realms. And also generate a slight belief that the root syllables that appear as the appearances of the six realms below the navel appear as those images. Then, starting from the belief that they are the actual entities of the six realms, focus the mind on the six realms at the navel. In general, with all sentient beings pervading space as the object, intensely practice the view of non-duality of truth and falsehood, that is, "Appearance is appearance, reality is not reality." Also, thinking that these beings wander in samsara because they grasp what is unreal as real, how pitiful! Thus, cultivate even stronger compassion. Also, pray that the lama will protect these beings from the suffering of samsara, reciting "Father Lama, you know," and pray in connection with the devotion and reverence for the lama. Then, when giving more attention to them, the sentient beings of the six realms disappear one by one, gradually disappearing one by one, and finally focus the mind on the inside of the dharma source becoming empty. After that, there is no need for elaborations of visualization such as the disappearance of the body and the dharma source, but rather let go of all attachments and rest in a state of non-grasping. If one cannot rest in this, then contemplate that all of oneself and others, the outer and inner worlds, are like illusions. They appear even though they do not exist. They appear but are not established. Understand it in this way. Through this
