The spaces between them are filled and connected by many fine crossed vajras without any gaps, and above it are fences in eight directions, and above it is formed in accordance with the general tent. From the Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Hūṃ) at the heart, countless Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Hūṃ) emanate, transforming into vajras from one point to nine points. For example, it is as if the sky is filled with dust (110), and those that go upwards block the gaps in the tent, those that go in all directions become fences, and those that go downwards block the gaps in the ground. Among them, the larger vajras block the gaps and coarse holes, the finer gaps are blocked by the finer vajras, and the extremely fine gaps are blocked by the extremely fine vajras. After that, the flames burning fiercely like the sun slightly melt and mix the shapes of the vajras from the outside of the fence tent, making it smooth and shiny like the outside of a fine bowl, which even the winds of the eon cannot penetrate. When viewed from the inside, the shape of the vajra is not diminished and appears very clearly, and meditate on flames of five colors burning inside and out. These are the place protections among the three protections. The third is the order of making requests: With the rays of light from the heart, invite the guru, yidam, etc. (111) to the sky in front, inviting them from above to directly above the center of the tent. Thinking that you are sitting in front of them on various vajra grounds, recite the refuge in Buddha, Dharma, Sangha, etc. three times, and also perform the four immeasurables in the manner of making aspirations in front of those refuge objects. Both the refuge and the four immeasurables here have the meaning of making requests. The light shines, purifying the defilements of one's own three doors, as usual. Contemplate that the refuge objects and one's own mind are inseparable, like a mirror and an image, liberated from one and different. This is the yoga protection among the three protections, and practicing the four immeasurables is said to be yoga protection, which is consistent with what is said in other texts. Purifying defilements by taking refuge and emitting light, etc., is more excellent than other methods in terms of the many doors through which blessings enter (112). Second, accumulating merit is divided into two.

Ise Le. First, accumulating the accumulation of merit, until "again dissolving into the clear light from the heart." Previously, the refuge deities of the invocation resided in the Vajra Tent. Then, the mandala of the Yidam, which was invited again, resided in the sky just above the eyebrow center. In the sky above the mandala, the root guru is in the center. Around it, the lineage gurus, Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, and others are visualized as being surrounded by a crowd. Although it is said to invite the field of merit, it is like lighting a lamp in the dark. The fields of merit have always resided in that direction, but they were previously obscured by ignorance and not seen. The condition is that the rays of light emanating from the heart illuminate and (113) are seen. Then, the actual accumulation of merit is to perform the seven-branch practice. Among them, the three mantras of prostration are: I prostrate to you! I prostrate to myself! I bow and prostrate! That is the meaning. The second branch of the seven-branch practice is offering, which is divided into four types: outer, inner, secret, and suchness. Argham, etc., are outer offerings. The inner offering is the five meats and five amritas. The secret offering is to emanate and offer eight and sixteen consorts, etc. Regarding suchness, the object of offering is the field of merit, the one who offers is oneself, and the offerings are the outer, inner, and secret offerings. These are all appearances of one's own mind. Although they appear as various phenomena, their essence is one, so they are non-dual. And its nature is free from all elaborations, so it is without object. Thus, prostration and offering are two branches. On top of that, adding the five branches (114) from the daily confession arising from the tent, the total is seven branches. The five branches are: confession of sins, rejoicing in merit, taking refuge, generating Bodhicitta, and dedication. Although there are two instances each of taking refuge and generating Bodhicitta, they are only brief and detailed explanations, so they are not counted as separate branches. The so-called dissolving into clear light means that the deities who were previously invited as objects of invocation, as well as the fields of merit at this time, are visualized as disappearing together in the place where they reside. This refers to the time when the form body does not benefit others, and when the clear light reaches the ultimate, the Dharmakaya.
