Then, the four consorts of the retinue dissolve into the main deity, the father and mother. That becomes a radiant mass of light, dissolving into oneself, attaining the fourth empowerment. Think that all obscurations are purified. Then, visualize oneself as the Heruka Chakrasamvara, father and mother. All forms that appear are also visualized as Heruka Chakrasamvara, father and mother, appearing but without inherent existence, very clearly. Then, make offerings to them. Then, by reciting the seven-syllable essence mantra of the yidam, visualize the forms that appear clearly as the mandala of the yidam, and also visualize reciting the mantra "di ri ri". Know that all sounds that arise are mantras. In this way, determine that all that appears as deity and mantra is one's own mind. Determine one's own mind as free from elaboration and meditate on it. Afterwards, dedicate the merit. If practicing in one session, visualize the lama on the crown of the head and pray. Determine one's own body and all appearances as the yidam, all sounds as the sound of the empty mantra, all thoughts as illusion and dream, and meditate on them. In short, do not separate from the lama on the crown of the head. Do not separate one's own body from the yidam. Do not separate speech from prayer or mantra recitation. Do not separate food and drink from nectar. Do not separate all thoughts from illusion and dream. Do not practice separately from the Dharma protectors and guardians in front. This is the essence of the sutras and tantras. It is like the heart essence of the dakinis, so do not hesitate, practice well! This is the instruction that guarantees enlightenment in just a few months. Third, relying on appearances to take illusion as the path: Determine all appearances as mind. Determine mind as illusion and dream, and then practice the illusory body during the day and the training, increase, and transformation of dreams at night, as taught in the Six Dharmas. In short, taking appearances as the path is: whatever arises in the field of the eye, whether beautiful or not beautiful forms; in the field of the ear, whether pleasant or unpleasant sounds; in the field of the nose, whether fragrant or not fragrant smells; in the field of the tongue, whether sweet or not sweet tastes; in the field of the body, whether soft or not soft sensations; in the field of the mind, whatever pleasant or unpleasant dharmas arise, directly observe its essence. Appearances do not cease, do not engage in grasping, and remain without distraction in the state of clarity and emptiness, free from grasping. By practicing these three dharmas in this way, one will generate uncommon devotion to the lama, and illusion will naturally arise, all appearances are unreal.

Walking in the charnel ground, and through self-grasping in dreams, practicing, developing, transforming, stabilizing the appearance of the environment, during the day, the Mahamudra dawns clearly and without thought, and at night, the deity's form arises spontaneously, and luminosity dawns without bias—these occur just as they are. Do not hesitate, enjoy them to the fullest! From the branch of the essence, unerringly taking the lama into the path, taking the yidam into the path, the instructions for taking appearances into the path, Lungtong the Madman, combining them with his own experience, wrote them down at the sacred Great Mountain. The scribe was Kachu Lodro Gyaltsen. These mainly focus on the stages of meditation, and although they are very concise, accomplishment can be achieved through this alone. It is known through meditation (703). If you wish to explain, you must understand it based on the vajra verses and the writings of the previous lamas. The instructions on the deathlessness of body and mind, a branch of Niguma, are here. Namo Guru. Here, supplementing with the instructions on the deathlessness of body and mind, a branch of the essence, and practicing them, through the thirty-two trul khor yogas, training the channels, bindus, and winds, on a comfortable cushion, adopting a comfortable posture, either cross-legged or half-lotus, first performing refuge, bodhicitta, and guru yoga, and then thinking like this: What is called death, is it the death of the body or the death of the mind? If you think it is the death of the body, is it the death of the body of ripened karma or the death of the body of habitual tendencies? It is not like the first case, because this body is just a collection of flesh, blood, bones, skin, etc., how could it have death? If it did, then why don't (704) earth, stones, etc., die? The body of habitual tendencies also does not die, if it did, then dying in a dream should count as death. If that were the case, then those who dream of their own death should not wake up, because they have already died and cannot be revived. In short, it is only because the force of past karma is exhausted and the mind no longer abides in this body of ripened karma that it is called death, so death is not established in essence. Think like this, and constantly meditate on the deathlessness of the body. If you think it is the death of the mind, then in order to practice this special instruction called the self-liberation of the deathless mind, first perform refuge and bodhicitta, and then in a single moment
