If it is not given, then by no means can it be known. The third is: whether wise or foolish, all cannot believe without guarding. The fourth is: the nature of mind being Buddha cannot be comprehended. Therein, all abiding and moving, merely recognizing one's own nature, abides in the emptiness-clarity of self-nature. Therefore (674), there is no need to modify whatever arises. If one knows that apart from this clarity-emptiness of self-nature, there is neither samsara nor nirvana, then those four faults are self-liberated. Third, afterwards, the spontaneous arising of the three kayas, the introduction to the spontaneous arising of the three kayas, and its enhancement. The first is: the ordinary consciousness of before, the unaltered original state, from the very beginning, spontaneously arises as the union of clarity and emptiness, from recognizing one's own nature, emptiness is the Dharmakaya, clarity is the Nirmanakaya, the union is the Sambhogakaya, having generated definite certainty, one should cultivate in that very natural state. When experiencing thus, even a single moment of mind meets the three kayas, even a single moment of thought is (675) the nature of the three kayas. Having made it arise in experience thus, one must always cultivate. Second, there are two: enhancement and dispelling obstacles. The first is enhancing through relying on limitless devotion, enhancing through relying on limitless compassion, enhancing through relying on special means. The first is: generally, when realization arises, devotion naturally arises, and compassion naturally arises for sentient beings who have not realized, but again cultivating devotion and compassion for that, like adding wood to a burning fire, it will greatly increase, thus becoming the supreme path of enhancement. Like that, repeatedly (676) while cultivating the Mahamudra path, intensely cultivating devotion and compassion, it will ultimately become the means of realization. Among these, devotion is, generally, the root guru himself is the actual Buddha, the guru's mind is the Dharmakaya, the activities are the two Rupakayas manifested for the benefit of others, and one is certain that it is the essence of all Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, Yidams, Dakinis, and Dharma Protectors. Because the guru has untied the knot of reality for me, his kindness is immense, thinking that the guru's kindness will never be forgotten, one prays with intense devotion and one-pointedness. By transforming the mind through devotion to the guru, one attains the state of self-nature free from elaboration.

When wisdom dawns brightly, rest evenly in that state. (677) Secondly, all sentient beings are kind parents, but because one's own mind does not truly recognize this, one accumulates afflictions and karma, and wanders in samsara. This is truly pitiable, so think this in your heart and speak it in your mouth. Finally, rest calmly in the state of being free from grasping at all objects of compassion and those who show compassion. Thirdly, there are three points. The first is, "Mix ordinary consciousness with the breath, and conceptual thoughts and ignorance will cease." The meaning of this is, without altering the mind, rest evenly in the state of Mahamudra, and hold the vase breath tightly. Because the breath and mind enter as one, realization will increase from above. The second (678) is, "Mix the clear light deity with the breath, and experience will increase like the waxing moon." It is said that one should contemplate oneself as the innate Hevajra, appearing like a reflection of the moon in water, yet without inherent existence. Do not alter the appearance of the deity without ceasing. Furthermore, seize the clear light Mahamudra and tightly control the breath, so that the deity enhances the Mahamudra, and experience will increase. The third is, "Mix the wisdom of union with the breath, and the three kayas of the result will manifest." It is said that one should contemplate one's own deity as clear and empty. If one contemplates another body as the wisdom mother, or one's own body as possessing skillful means, then enhance the deity through the experience of tummo and clear light, and then seize it with Mahamudra and cultivate it by refining it. Tightly control the vase breath in the mouth. The clear appearance of the deity is the nirmanakaya, the non-conceptualization of Mahamudra is the dharmakaya, and bliss is the sambhogakaya. The breath helps all three of these, and by practicing the three kayas of the path, the nature of the mind at the base will manifest as the result. Until the dissolution of the channels is manifested, it is important to make great effort to abandon worldly affairs and cultivate in solitude. The second is to dispel obstacles, such as reversing the channels and reversing the breath. Because the six dharmas and other methods are branches of the path, they are common and will not be discussed here. Here, dispelling the uncommon (680) obstacles means striving not to be bound by the calculations of experience, and not to be biased towards either appearance or emptiness. That is, if one clings to the three of bliss, clarity, and non-conceptuality, one will go astray. Whatever joy and bliss arise in body and mind,
