. The Bodhicitta that abides in enlightenment, naturally exists in all sentient beings. Thus it is said. The three bodies for practicing the path are: the Dharmakaya, which is the state of one's own mind abiding in purity like the sky; the Sambhogakaya, which is the rising of the wheel of the mandala of the mind; and the Nirmanakaya, which is the emanation of light rays and so forth from that. The tenth chapter of the Root Tantra says: From the body of the Dharmakaya, when one becomes a practitioner, from that samadhi, I declare the perfect enjoyment. In the body of the Nirmanakaya, when one becomes a practitioner, at that time, the mind is one-pointed, and I also say it is the Nirmanakaya, and there is no doubt that one will truly attain it. In the self-nature of Shri Heruka, this will be accomplished, there is no doubt about it. Thus it is said. The three bodies that arise naturally from the result are: that which naturally exists in the ground, when practiced with the instructions of the guru, although the result is not desired, it arises naturally. For example, just as when farming is done properly, and the white rice is harvested well, the straw also comes along. Likewise, from the Dharmakaya, which is like the sky, the appearance of the Rupakaya arises, equal to the sky, and accomplishes the benefit of taming sentient beings equal to the sky. Moreover, in the Sutra of Golden Light, it is said: Bodhisattva Akashagarbha asked: The wisdom of the Tathagata has no discrimination, but can the activity be as desired? The Buddha said: For example, the sun, moon, water, and mirror, although without discrimination, can manifest images. Although the wisdom of the Tathagata has no discrimination, due to the power of aspiration, it can benefit sentient beings with two Rupakayas. The Nirmanakaya is the Nirvana with remaining aggregates, and the Dharmakaya is the non-abiding Nirvana. Thus it is said. Moreover, in the Avatamsaka Sutra, it is said: The wish-fulfilling jewel king, how it fulfills all wishes, likewise, the Dharma-nature of the Buddha, is also always accomplished by the power of aspiration. With those aspirations, the ten directions are filled with Buddhas. Thus it is said. The characteristic is that it possesses seven limbs, namely, perfect enjoyment, union with great bliss, no self-nature, filled with great compassion, continuous, and without cessation.
