The Four Branches Practice: Guiding into the common three samaya of dependent arising, divided into three parts. The first part: In the root of the oral transmission precious single key, it says: 'When self-sovereignty is lost, all others gather as one's own, the root households blend into one.' The meaning is: In the nature of the unborn Dharmata, whatever arises as the unceasing power of phenomena is nothing other than the manifestation of the sole wisdom of self-awareness, hence it is called self-appearance. Appearances tainted by the habitual tendencies of grasping and clinging are merely appearances that seem to exist but do not, hence they are called deluded appearances or other-appearances. Therefore, if one can continuously cultivate the wisdom of self-awareness, there will be no cause for losing self-sovereignty to others, nor for others not gathering as one's own. If one cannot cultivate in this way, it is because the consciousness becomes the master, and the sense consciousnesses such as the eye enter into the collection of forms and so on. Therefore, gather these into the nature of the root household of mind, and leave them uncorrected. As Ra-vi-shri said: 'Having uprooted the root of the mind, strike the vital point in emptiness. For those blinded by the dimness of ignorance, what better eye medicine is there than this?' Sometimes it is said to observe, if it does not abide within but rises upon the senses and so on, then at that time, without distraction, blend it into that very thing and make that alone the path. Since all delusions are pacified in their own place, there is no need to deliberately abandon them. Since the nature of the six consciousnesses becomes merely illusion, there is no need to deliberately accomplish them. This is called the calculation of emptiness. As the Compendium of Teachings says: 'Through the union of object and subject, one transforms into the state of non-conceptualization. Abiding at the supreme of all aspects, therefore know that the object is completely pure.' Da-ri-ka-pa said: 'If wisdom is without appearance, then it becomes something to be cultivated like deep sleep. Any suppression of the senses and wisdom is the view of the Vaibhashikas.' Therefore, from this, seeing oneself and sentient beings as equal, bravely extracting the suffering of sentient beings is called the iron hook of compassion. As the Condensed Instructions says: 'From the wish-fulfilling tree of emptiness, the fruit of objectless compassion arises.' Therefore, in order for all sentient beings to realize as I have realized, the joy of dedicating to the noble objects is bliss. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The sound, Zla grags (Chandrakirti) said: 'The joy that arises from the perfect dedication of Kuntuzangpo's (Samantabhadra's) aspiration is called the first abiding.' Therefore, knowing that emptiness is the cause and effect, and that the cause and effect are unfailing, is the essence, and then planting the seeds of the four activities of pacifying, increasing, magnetizing, and subjugating is called 'accomplishing with intention by intention'. From the Gur Tantra: 'Therefore, the mandala is called a wheel, and the means is the collection of bliss. With the pride of the Buddha yoga, one will quickly become a Buddha.' In this way, by training to control the mind, the three realms will show respect, and by always abiding in that state, even billions of demonic forces will not be able to shake it, and thousands of attacks from oneself and others will not be able to defeat it, and no amount of worldly play will be able to degrade it. By abiding in this state, one abides equally in samsara and nirvana, The distinction between samsara and nirvana disappears, and everything is simultaneously mastered. Secondly, cultivating the four limbs of dependent origination to subdue the appearance of others: abandoning activities, being content, eliminating desires, and being able to abide. These four limbs are the limbs that make the essence unwavering, therefore they are called the four limbs. As it says: 'When the farming is finished, one should rest.' If one does not abandon activities, the mind will be controlled by the proliferation of activities, and one will not be able to grasp the essential point of reality, just like a king falling to the level of a commoner. Therefore, abandoning all activities that increase proliferation and focusing solely on abiding in samadhi is abandoning activities. As it is also said in the Guhyasamaja Tantra: 'Those future teachers who desire to accomplish Buddhas, Vajrasattvas, etc., through mudras, mandalas, mantras, etc., are the family of demons.' Bibuddhakarapada said: 'The mind of a yogi who practices wisdom should not be like this: begging, eating and sleeping too much, speaking too much out of haste, making noise, wind, and reading, offerings and fire offerings, etc., should also be abandoned here, focusing on samadhi.' As it says: 'When the stomach is full, one does not desire.' Cutting off attachment to concepts, and in order to cut off attachment again, following various terminological treatises is like going out of the door of existence and wandering at the crossroads of non-existence. Separated from all elaborations... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
